Eve, who'd been sitting in Malakai's chair at his desk since he left the office, clicked rapidly on the keyboard of his computer. She typed out a bunch of code on the computer and picked up the paper she had by the side, scribbling into it with intense focus.
She didn't even notice when Malakai walked into the office, closing the door. He paused on his step and slanted his head as he began staring at her.
He really missed the glasses, which he barely sees on her face now since she got her contact lenses.
Eve yawned and scratched into her hair before continuing from where she stopped, still yet to notice him. She reached for his cup of coffee he'd left half-drunk on the table before he went for his meeting. His gaze followed her movement as her lips wrapped the cup and she took a sip.
