Hwan watched as Yuna moved around the café, serving orders with effortless grace. Her smile was warm, her energy intoxicating. He couldn't wait to make her his.
Owning the café wasn't enough. He had to make her fall for him.
Tapping his fingers rhythmically on the table, he sank into his thoughts.
Just then, the door swung open.
Eunwoo walked in.
Hwan immediately straightened up. "Well, here comes the troublemaker."
Eunwoo's eyes scanned the café, searching for Yuna. The moment he spotted her, his expression softened—but the second he noticed Hwan, his brows furrowed.
"What are you doing here?" he asked in a cold voice.
Hwan leaned back with a smirk. "What, can't the owner sit in his own café?"
Eunwoo clenched his jaw. "I told you to leave her alone."
Hwan raised an amused eyebrow. "And I told you that Yuna isn't some possession. You're not the only one interested in her."
At that moment, Yuna approached them, carrying a tray.
"What are you two talking about?" she asked, noticing the tension between them.
Hwan immediately stood up, spreading his arms dramatically. "We were talking about you, darling," he said playfully.
Yuna rolled her eyes. "Hwan, stop being ridiculous."
Eunwoo, on the other hand, stepped closer to her. "Are you okay? I just want to make sure your boss isn't bothering you."
Hwan let out a chuckle. "I admire your level of jealousy, Eunwoo. But don't worry—Yuna is very happy here."
Eunwoo's gaze softened as he turned to Yuna. "Are you really happy?"
Yuna sighed and nodded slightly.
Hwan's eyes glinted with mischief as he looked at her.
"You know, my dear employee, I have a special plan for after your shift. How about your boss takes you out for dinner?"
Eunwoo immediately cut in. "Forget it. Yuna already has plans—with me."
Yuna blinked in surprise and turned to Eunwoo. "I do?"
Eunwoo gave her a small smile. "Yes. Now you do."
Hwan burst out laughing. "Ah, this is getting more entertaining by the minute."
As both men waited for Yuna's answer, she quietly stepped past them.
Yuna crossed her arms and leaned against the wall.
It wasn't until a few seconds later that Eunwoo and Hwan finally realized she was standing off to the side, watching them.
Then, they turned to each other.
"Look what you did!" Eunwoo snapped.
Hwan shrugged nonchalantly. "I was just having fun."
Just as they both moved to go after her, they hesitated.
Who would go first?
Their eyes locked in silent competition before they both took a step toward her at the same time.
When Yuna saw them approaching, she shook her head with a small smile. "You two are like children."
Hwan grinned, while Eunwoo furrowed his brows slightly.
Yuna grabbed her bag with a sigh. "I'm heading home. Don't exhaust me any further."
She turned toward the door.
Eunwoo shot a look at Hwan. "Did you hear that? Don't bother my girlfriend."
Hwan immediately tried to follow after her, but Eunwoo grabbed his arm.
"She loves me," Eunwoo said firmly, his voice low.
Hwan tilted his head mockingly. "Oh? She doesn't seem too sure."
Eunwoo clenched his teeth before swiftly hurrying after Yuna.
Hwan watched him go, a smirk playing on his lips.
Maybe he had a few more tricks up his sleeve.
