Hwan sat comfortably in the middle of the lounge, swirling his drink casually. His smirk, as always, was filled with amusement.
The door suddenly burst open. Eunwoo entered with firm, angry strides.
"You were expecting me, weren't you?"
Hwan tilted his head slightly. "Of course. After all, you wouldn't be able to rest without talking to me first."
Eunwoo narrowed his eyes. "I know exactly what game you played last night, Hwan."
Hwan took a slow sip of his drink, feigning indifference. "What game are you talking about? You should be sure before throwing accusations around."
Eunwoo stepped closer, his eyes burning with intensity. "You told Yuna she would catch me with another woman. But do you know what happened instead?"
Hwan raised an eyebrow.
"When she arrived at my room, there was no one there."
Hwan's grip on his glass faltered slightly, but his expression remained neutral.
Eunwoo smirked, his smile as sharp as a knife. "Because I figured out your little scheme."
Hwan remained silent, studying him.
Leaning in slightly, Eunwoo spoke in a mocking tone. "Your plan failed, Hwan. You wanted Yuna to see me as unfaithful, but guess what?"
He moved even closer, locking eyes with Hwan, and whispered with a cocky, taunting grin:
"Yuna spent the night with me."
Hwan clenched his jaw, struggling to contain his growing rage, but he didn't let it show on his face.
Eunwoo could feel the tension in the air. "You actually did me a favor, my friend. I'll have to thank you for that." He smirked again, full of amusement.
Then, without another word, he turned toward the door. He could sense Hwan's anger boiling, but he didn't care.
He opened the door and walked out.
______
As soon as the door shut, Hwan slammed his glass onto the table.
His eyes were as dark as shadows.
Taking a deep breath, he barked out an order:
"Bring me the girl. Now!"
His men rushed in, standing before him with their heads lowered.
One of them hesitantly spoke. "Sir… the girl was placed in the room as planned, but…"
Hwan gritted his teeth. "But what?!"
The men exchanged nervous glances. Finally, one of them mustered the courage to answer:
"Eunwoo didn't let her stay. He threw her out of the room."
Hwan's hand slammed onto the table with a loud bang.
"You told me everything was perfect!" His voice was laced with venom. "Now tell me, which one of you wants to die first? Huh? Should I just kill you all?"
The men stood frozen, not daring to speak.
Hwan took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing. Eunwoo had won this time, but this wasn't over.
With a dark smirk, he whispered to himself:
"I won't give up… Not yet, Eunwoo."
