Hwan's Bedroom
Yuna lay unconscious in Hwan's arms.
Her skin was cold. Her breathing was faint.
A moment ago, he had been torturing her.
And now…
He had carried her to his bedroom and placed her on his own bed.
With a hesitant touch, he brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
But he couldn't look away from her.
Something unfamiliar stirred inside him.
Hatred?
No.
Anger?
No.
This feeling… it was dangerous.
He quickly straightened. Shrugging off his jacket, he loosened his tie.
And then—
A knock on the door.
"Sir."
Hwan turned his head.
One of his men stood at the doorway.
"Someone is here to see you."
Hwan narrowed his eyes.
"Who?"
The man hesitated before lifting his head.
And then, he said the name—
"Eunwoo."
A slow, dark smile spread across Hwan's lips.
"So… you've finally come, Eunwoo."
The Grand Hall – The Silence Before the Storm
The heavy doors creaked open.
And through them… Eunwoo stepped in.
His footsteps were steady, his presence like a storm about to break.
His gaze locked directly onto Hwan.
Hwan, standing calmly by the fireplace, rolled his wrist as if loosening up before a fight.
Slowly, he lifted his head.
And he smiled.
"How long has it been, Eunwoo?"
Eunwoo wasn't going to fall for his games.
His voice was sharp as a blade.
"Where is Yuna?"
Hwan shrugged.
"Upstairs. Sleeping comfortably in a warm bed."
Eunwoo's eyes darkened.
And Hwan saw exactly what he was thinking.
"Don't worry," Hwan said, his voice laced with amusement. "I haven't touched her."
He clenched his own wrist.
Then, lowering his voice, he added—
"Yet."
Something in Eunwoo's gaze flickered.
And Hwan wanted that.
He wanted to push him over the edge.
Slowly, his eyes trailed to Eunwoo's wrist.
"If you want her back…"
"You'll give me that first."
Eunwoo instinctively pulled his wrist back.
"Why is this bracelet so important to you?"
Hwan chuckled.
But it was a dark, hollow laugh.
"Because it belongs to me."
Eunwoo's brows furrowed.
And at that moment, the very air in the room changed.
Tension crackled between them.
Hwan turned slightly toward the doorway.
His men were still waiting there.
He lifted a hand.
And with a single command—
"Leave."
His men hesitated.
But then…
Hwan narrowed his eyes.
And this time, his voice was sharper.
"No matter what happens, no matter what you hear… do not come inside."
The men exchanged uneasy glances.
But one by one, they obeyed.
The doors closed.
And now—
It was just the two of them.
Demon vs. Angel
The air inside the grand hall grew heavy.
Hwan's eyes slowly burned with a crimson glow.
Eunwoo's back shimmered with golden light.
Paintings on the walls began to fall.
The crystal chandelier above them trembled.
The ground… started to shake.
And then—
The first attack.
Eunwoo's eyes flashed.
In that instant—
A bolt of lightning struck Hwan.
But—
As the smoke cleared…
Hwan was still standing.
And he was smiling.
"You can do better than that, Eunwoo."
"Come on. Show me your true self."
Behind Eunwoo… wings began to form.
But they weren't pure white.
The edges… were burning.
Hwan tilted his head slightly.
"How pathetic."
His eyes gleamed with demonic fire.
And in that moment—
He revealed his own form.
From the darkness, massive wings spread behind him, covered in black feathers.
The strongest demon of the underworld…
And the brightest angel of the heavens…
Were now locked in a battle to the death.
And the winner—
Would claim both Yuna and the bracelet.
