Chapter 10 - -eight-

The Father's office

The father's stare, the castle's head man, could scare everybody away, but not Killiana, who accepted the fact that what had happened had happened, and she might deserve it.

The best man of Germogen stood slightly behind his chair, carefully watching and absorbing the tense aura from his master and his favorite daughter.

"Killa, I never teach you to be this weak..." Germogen was straight to the point,

She stood still, and then a red-haired bodyguard came and bowed to her politely, took the bandage out, and disinfected it for her. "May I? Miss Killa," he asked for permission, and then Killa gave him her hurting hand.

"You let them insult you and hurt you, and you do nothing. It's not you, Killa. I am really disappointed in you." Germogen said,

A red-haired bodyguard glanced at her, but still did the wound on her hand.

"I was in school," she said,

"So you behave yourself in front of them because you are a student and their position is higher?" Germogen asked,

"Yes, it's supposed to be that way. Like I am here, Father, you're in a higher position, so I respect you. Listen to what you have to say, and judge me." she said while looking at him without a blink.

All of them were shocked. Germogen was furious about what she said, and his mad face was scarier than before. His best man and the one who was healing her wound were nervous seeing his reaction and were more anxious when they noticed Killa's eyes staring at her father without fear.

"You're not going to that school anymore, come back and pay more attention to your family's business. It's supposed to be that way. The way that suits you." he said in a lower tone.

"I know what I want, father. You said to me that I am young and searching for what I like and what I am interested in." she said, and he listened, "I want freedom,"

'Freedom?' Germogen thought.

"I still want to go to school," she said,

"That's fucking ridiculous!! Do you want to go back to them and disparage you? Killa, you let them hurt your pride, and I am not accepting it!" He shouted.

'My pride or your pride, father?' Killa thought,

People in the room listen to their arguments.

"Not how I see it; no one can hurt my pride or even cross mine. I behave myself because of the way it should be. I am learning. I am having new experiences because I want them," she said calmly, but her heart raced with anger. Germogen tried so hard to keep his anger down. "Insulting and judging me doesn't even scratch my feelings, Father. You know me best. No one can hurt me unless I let them." she said,

All the people in the room were amazed by what she had said. She was only 15 years old, and her perspective was quite intimidating. Her boldness always surprised everyone older than her, even her father. She was was never scared of Germogen like other kids in this family, but she still respected him.

"You are so stubborn. I let you go to school—a new one—and you still need to do Lysander's work perfectly. Don't let that situation happen again." Germogen said,

She was relieved, "Yes, father," she said,

"And another condition. You need to pick a bodyguard. No bargaining."

She held her breath, "Yes, Father," she surrendered,

"You can go," Germogen said,

"Thank you, Father," she said and turned to look at a guy with red hair, "Finished?"

"Yes, Miss Killa," he said,

"Thank you," she said to him and left the room.

In the same classroom without a Perry winkle hair girl inside, the students lived their school life as normal.

"Maki, look at this." She did not respond. "Maki! It's Killa!"

"Stop spreading rumors about her already!" Maki said,

"No, look-look, there's a video!"

"Video?" Maki repeated,

"Yes! Of her and those senpais in the bathroom." After she said that, Maki grabbed her classmate's phone and looked.

Maki saw the group of Senpais picking a fight with Killa. They came to her, pointed at her, and then some of them poked at her body; they started to slap Killa, but she tilted her head to avoid all the punches and their hands. All of them were the ones who came to her and used violence on her. But Killa just stood still and dodged, staying away from their hands. The bruises that Senpais got did not intentionally hit each other because Killa sidestepped, avoiding the hits. They just attacked each other in accidents.

"Those bitches!! I told you Killa didn't do it!!!" Maki shouted.

"Look, Look, a knife!!"

"What?" Maki shouted and looked carefully

She witnessed the head of the group pull out her knife and try to hit Killa, but Killa grabbed that knife by hand and pulled it out from Senpai's hand, and Killa's blood was bleeding.

"That motherfucker!!" Maki shouted loudly again with a furious face.

The principal office

Now the clip was out, and everybody in school saw everything. Daiki Senpai and he went to the principal's office and accidentally met the white-haired guy standing in front of him.

"You! Delete the video now!!" Principal scolded,

"If I don't, then what?" the white-haired guy asked,

"You've violated the school rules a lot!! Last time, I let you slide because there was a witness." Principal said,

"Haha. You already want to get rid of me. I know I am not rich and clever like your favorite students. And I don't offer you any profits. So, before I go, I need to help her a little. Last time, If I didn't get her help, I would be expelled for what I didn't do—just like Killa Lysander."

'What..' Daiki thought.

"I didn't expel her. She resigned herself!" Principal shouted,

"However, people should know the truth...to return the favor for her," The white-haired guy walked out of the principal's office and looked at Daiki, who was shocked after hearing everything.

"What do you mean to return a favor?" Daiki grabbed his arm and asked,

"Why do I have to tell you?" the white hair guy asked with a pissed face.

"Tell me," Daiki's lower voice sounded scary somehow.

The white-haired guy explained to Daiki that Killa saw him having a fight with a bunch of older guys in school, and they used weapons on him. She didn't interfere with the fights, but when the principal called them. Killa was already there sending homework, but she had heard what they were discussing, and she interrupted by telling them what happened and suggested the principal watch the CCTV camera (Close-circus TV). So he wasn't expelled.

After the complicated situation, Killa continued to work for her father and be an assistant to her first brother, Yeongho. They were still quiet with each other, but her and his skills of killing people were quite impressive and similar. They were like the best duo to do this kind of mission. Even though Yeongho didn't show his feelings much, he loved to work with Killa and liked being with her, helping and protecting each other.

Killa asked her father to let her continue to go to school in exchange for having a bodyguard because she'd been denying it for quite a long time. Actually, she should have had a (normal) bodyguard since she came here. By the rules, when Lysander's kids turned 14-15 years old, they should have picked the main bodyguard. Killa knew that there was one guy her father ordered to keep watching her every day during school and at work to report him, but as typical, Killa did not care.

The Main gym

In the main gym, Father and First Daughter, Kristina were sitting on the couch in the middle hall. Kristina was here because she wanted to pick a guy for her experiment. Every bodyguard or Lysander's men who didn't have their own master yet gathered and stood in line waiting for Killa and Germogen's order.

Killa walked in wearing black strapless jeans, which contrasted beautifully with her skin. While she was going to join and sit on the couch, she noticed a guy at the back arguing with Lysander's man. So she peeked a little, and she was shocked.

'Is that? A guy from school!? What is he doing here!?' Killa thought, and her face was a little pale.

"What is it, Killa?" Germogen asked,

Killa tilted her head again to check. That clouded guy Killa helped, turned his face to look at her, and he was also shocked. His eyes widened as if they were going to pop out. And not for long, that guy was chased out of Lysander's main gym.

"Nothing, Father," Killa said and sat on the couch.

"Killa," Kristina greeted,

"Kristina," she greeted back,

"Pick," Germogen said,

"All of sudden, Father?" Kristina said. Killa looked at Kristina for an explanation. "I'm here to pick some for my new experiment."

All the guys who standing there flinched.

"Killa first, you choose, and no excuses," Germogen cut to the point because he knew Killa would find another reason to deny again, but she was too clever to get what she wanted.

Killa watched them; she saw similar faces, like the dark-gray hair in front who worked with her when she did the outside work. He was the one to whom her father had given the order to follow her, so she turned to look at the other guys. She saw the red-hair guy who also sometimes worked with her outside, and he was the one who did the bandage for her last time.

'I want a guy who works for me...for me...but no matter whom I choose here, they all work for my father.' Killa thought with a steady face, more like a bit upset.

"If you don't know who to choose, I suggest Zadkiel. You work with him before you know how good he is." Germogen suggested,

"And he's the one you give the order to keep an eye on me," she said in her soft voice. The dark gray hair named Zadkiel flinched after hearing her.

"Heh," her father chuckled,

"If you don't want him, I do…He's in good shape." Kristina said,

"I don't want to choose," Killa said, and Germogen glared at her. "I'll let them choose...I don't want to force them to work for me without their willingness," she said, turning to her father.

Lysander's men were surprised and listened to Killa carefully.

"Who wants or…volunteer to be my bodyguard? You can kneel," she said, hoping no one would do it.

And suddenly, they all kneel.

"Shit," Kristina cursed lightly,

"Maybe they don't want to be your lab rats." Killa teased her sister,

"Hmm," Kristina made a sound,

"You still have to choose anyway," Germogen said,

'No matter who I choose...' Killa had dull eyes.

"I would like to be your personal bodyguard, Miss Killa." The red hair guy got up and said,

"Why?" Killa asked,

"Because I want you." He replied frankly,

"Woah, he is an ambitious man," Kristina said, said

"Sure," she said without thinking twice. He asked for what he wanted, like Killa's personality. So, it was no surprise that she quickly accepted, or maybe she just wanted this event to end soon.

"I also would like to be your personal bodyguard." Zadkiel got up and said,

"Oh no, I want him," Kristina said,

'Because of the father's order...or...' Killa thought. "Why?" Killa asked,

"I got experiences working outside as much as all the best men here, and moreover, I got experiences working for you, Miss Killa," he said directly into her eyes,

"I agreed," Germogen said,

'I can't run away from Father, can I? Fine, I'll give it to him.' Killa thought and got up. "Fine. Can I go now?" she asked,

"She can take two?" Kristina asked,

"They volunteered by themselves," Killa said,

"Not because I want him, and you stole it from me?"

"Yes," Killa didn't deny, but it was the reason Kristina never knew. Then she smirked at her sister, teasing. Zadkiel was a little confused. "You said he is in good shape; if he's going to be your lab rat, he would be a waste..."

"Hmm, fine, I choose someone else." Kristina was a bit upset, but she surrendered to her sister.

"Father," Killa turned to say goodbye and left the main gym immediately.

Quickly, Killa hurried outside to see a guy who was a student at the old school. The two chosen bodyguards followed her back, Making Killa feel uncomfortable. She needed to tell them the rules or set boundaries between them.

'I need to talk to the cloud guy alone.' Killa thought and then turned to see them. They both stopped walking and were a bit stunned. "I don't like you guys to follow me," she said,

"But it's our job." The red said,

"If you want to work with me, you need to do what I say," she said,

"Yes, master," the red and the dark gray said,

'I am not you, master,' Killa thought. "You go rest," she said, noticing they might not seem satisfied with her order. "Be prepared. I call you later."

"Yes, master," they said,

Killa left them alone; they were just looking at her back. She was in a hurry to go to the front of her castle.

"I know it's you." Killa flinched and turned her back to see that voice. "It's your house?" the cloud-head guy asked,

"It's not a house," Killa said,

"You live here, right?" he corrected,

"Yes...What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Killa asked,

"I'm not in high school anymore," he said, and then he told Killa what he did after the complicated event in their school.

"So you got expelled because of me," she asked,

"No, because of me. I chose to do that. You helped me. I helped you." he said,

"I didn't want any returns. I did that because I wanted to," she said,

"Don't have to worry...even if you don't want any favors. Same as you, I did that because I wanted to," he said,

"And you're going to apply for a job here, really? How did you know this place anyway."

"Someone suggested me here after they saw my skills," he said and looked at her while she was in process. "You still go to school? I thought it was because of that day. He won't allow you to go to school anymore...Your father's quite scary and looks intimidating."

"Yes, under his condition. I still have to help my family's business," she said,

'So she works for her family too? That explained why she's so good at fighting and intimidating like her father,' He thought.

"It's my father's...you should know that this isn't a good industry," she said,

"I know,"

"But why are you still..."

"Because it suits me best, and I can earn lots of money from it," he was being truthful,

She didn't like the answer, "You don't know what jobs you have to do."

"I know your father is a Mafia, right?" he looked at her smiling,

"Kind of...How about I help you continue to go to school." She suggested. "I really don't want you to be involved in this."

"I'm not that weak."

"I know you're not weak; I've seen it."

"I have no one anymore; my grandmother's gone...and I have a lot of debts," he said as he looked down at his old shoes.

Killa sighed, "...fine I take you somewhere."

"Where?" he looked at her confusingly,

"If you really want to do this, then come with me." she glared at him; he was quite a few people who weren't afraid to stare back at her intimidating eyes,

He smiled and said, "By the way, you can call me Drac."

"Killa,"
