The scene was chaotic. It had already been chaotic due to my fight with Flourescent when she tried to kill me. But now? The whole place was designed with blood. And limp bodies.
Flourescent was the last person standing. Her chest heaved slowly up and down. One gloved hand was holding a sword, the other was holding a head. My mouth instantly hung open upon seeing the severed head. Couldn't she just stab them and be done with it? Flourescent finally turned to me and noticed my mortification. She waved the head.
"The bastard shot me, what was I supposed to do? Give him cupcakes?"
"Just put it down."
She obeyed me. Indeed, her left shoulder was dropping lower. I reached for the implicit gun and checked the cartridge. Silver bullets.
"Is it an in and out wound?"
She shook her head. "I think it lodged itself in my shoulder blade."
