Chapter 10 - Dark Farm 6

After briefing the butler on the matter, Wan Qian returned to the dormitory.

Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin had just learned about the tragic incident in the bathroom from Tian Fang. When they saw Wan Qian return, they were about to tell her about it.

"Big shot, the bathroom…"

Before they could finish, Wan Qian interrupted them.

"Don't worry, I know about the bathroom incident. It will be dealt with."

Seeing Wan Qian's confident demeanor, the two of them fell silent. Indeed, since she was such a big shot, there were many things that didn't need to be said, and she must have already known everything.

After a long day of travel, Wan Qian went to bed early. It wasn't long before she fell asleep.

At 2 a.m., some changes started happening inside the dormitory. A rustling sound came from the wardrobe in the corner.

Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin, having entered the haunted realm, were already on edge. They had only reluctantly closed their eyes when they saw Wan Qian sleeping, forcing themselves to rest in this place to recharge.

They both slept lightly, and as soon as the noise started, they woke up. Lying in bed, eyes closed, pretending not to hear, but their hearts were racing.

Maybe it was because no one was paying attention to it, but the noise from the wardrobe grew louder. It even started making rhythmic banging sounds— thud— thud— as if someone inside the wardrobe was using their head to bang against the door.

The wardrobe door even began to shake, as if it could be broken open at any moment.

Wen Xirou was terrified. Unable to control herself, she grabbed the blanket and pulled it over her head, huddling in bed like an ostrich.

She couldn't tell if it was her imagination, but she felt the sound growing closer and closer... It was as if the wardrobe had grown legs and was moving toward her.

"Dammit!" A bed creaked with a loud "creak," followed by a harsh curse.

Wan Qian couldn't take it anymore. She threw off the blanket, jumped out of bed, and in a few steps, rushed over to the wardrobe in the corner.

With a slap, she hit the wardrobe door, causing the entire wardrobe to sway.

"In the middle of the night! Can't you just let me sleep properly?!!"

In that moment, Wan Qian's resentment was heavier than that of any female ghost. Her hair was disheveled, her face pale, and beneath her lifeless eyes, there were two dark circles of bruised skin.

After sitting in a car for an entire day, thoroughly checking the farm's situation, and arranging for interns, all the little tasks had already worn her out.

She had hoped to rest well that night to recharge for tomorrow's work. But instead, in the middle of the night, the mice in the wardrobe started causing a ruckus once again!

Even with Wan Qian's good temper, she couldn't take this.

"Bang——" The wardrobe made another noise.

Wan Qian's anger surged up. She raised her hand and slapped the wardrobe again. "Quiet!"

The mirror embedded in the wardrobe door cracked open, leaving a visible gap.

"In the middle of the night, making all this noise, do you believe that tomorrow morning, I'll bring some poison and kill you all?!"

Wen Xirou, who had been lying in bed, eyes tightly closed, pretending to be dead, couldn't help but open her eyes at that moment.

Did she hear that right? Big Shot, Big Shot was actually threatening it?

However, after Wan Qian spoke those words, the "Bang—Bang—" sounds from the wardrobe really did stop.

Instead, there was a sharp, fingernail-scratching sound on the wardrobe door. It seemed to carry a sense of reluctant submission.

But when Wan Qian heard this sound, she became even angrier. Hey, the mice in the wardrobe were still causing a ruckus!

She laughed through gritted teeth, "You really think I can't do anything about you, huh?"

After saying that, Wan Qian gripped the edge of the wardrobe and with a single pull, she managed to drag it a few inches across the floor. The legs of the wardrobe scraped against the ground, producing a sharp, ear-piercing sound.

Wan Qian froze for a moment—she hadn't expected the wardrobe to be this difficult to move.

But quickly, she adjusted her position, wrapped both arms around the wardrobe, and with a powerful heave, she lifted the entire thing off the ground. Then, she carried it toward the window.

"Bang——" A loud crash sounded, and it felt like the entire building shook. The wardrobe, as tall as a grown man, was tossed out of the window by Wan Qian.

The dormitory was eerily quiet, so silent that you could hear a pin drop on the floor.

Wan Qian patted her hands with satisfaction. Finally, it was quiet. She climbed back into bed, pulled the blanket over herself, and quickly fell back asleep.

Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin huddled under their blankets, not daring to make a sound. For a moment, they couldn't decide which was more terrifying—Big Shot or the wardrobe monster.

The next morning, the farm's broadcast started on time.

"Beep—— The current time is 6:00 AM. Weather: clear, mild breeze."

Xiao Lin, accustomed to assistant work, was the first to wake up, followed closely by Wen Xirou.

They both wanted to wake up Wan Qian, but when they thought about the scene from last night—how Big Shot had been disturbed by the noises from the wardrobe—they hesitated.

Big Shot's temper after being forcefully woken up was no laughing matter. It was one thing for the wardrobe to be thrown downstairs, but what if it was them instead?

While they were hesitating, Wan Qian woke up on her own.

"Good morning." Wan Qian got up from bed as if nothing had happened, rubbing her eyes and greeting Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin as though last night's events were completely forgotten.

Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin hurriedly returned the greeting, "Good morning."

Wen Xirou looked at Wan Qian carefully, her expression cautious. She tentatively asked, "Big shot, about last night…"

"Oh, last night—" Hearing Wen Xirou's question, Wan Qian's expression immediately tightened.
