It is the night of mates. The night when old mates come to celebrate their mating anniversary, new mates strengthen their bonds, the wolves yet to find their mate come here to still look for their mates.
I scan the banquet hall searching for her. Why has she not come yet? I stand at the corner of the hall, my eyes trying to find her in the midst of the crowd.
I hold my head, moving away from the endless walking, and loud talking, and so on, it's just too much.
I groan, walking towards a chair at one side of the banquet hall, where I will not be noticeable.
I exhale deeply, wondering why she would still be at home by this time. The feast is full-blown by now reaching its peak yet Aria is nowhere to be found.
Is her father keeping her at home? My face flushes red thinking of that possibility. Her father hates me, and knows she is my mate, of course why would he allow her here?
