Chapter 90 - Crossing Dimensions, Encountering Gatomon

As everyone knows, Spencer Damon is not your average person.

Though he possesses an immensely powerful DigiSoul, he can't release it freely. He must first throw a full-force punch at a Digimon to ignite his DigiSoul.

But now, there's no Digimon around to take that punch...

He got an idea and turned to look at Agumon (S), grinning, "Agumon, let me hit you just once."

Agumon (S) covered his head and stepped back, shouting, "No way! Why do I have to be the one you hit, Big Bro?!"

As Spencer's partner, Agumon (S) knew very well that to activate Spencer's DigiSoul, it had to be a full-powered punch.

And that punch? It hurt.

It might even knock him out cold!

"Come on, don't be stingy. Help me out," Spencer clasped his hands together.

"Nope!" Agumon (S) stood firm.

"I'll give you all of tonight's omelet rolls," Spencer bargained.

Agumon (S) smirked smugly, "Yoshi's omelet rolls… Hehe, I'll win them myself. I don't need your charity."

Spencer's eye twitched. "You brat, stop calling my mom by her name!"

Meanwhile, the others ignored Spencer and Agumon's antics, their attention on what Moss was going to do with the two souls extracted from Biochemical Minervamon.

One soul looked like a young girl in gothic clothes—Nanami, a former Digimon Hunter under Kurata.

The other was the soul of Biochemical Quetzalmon, the Digimon implanted into her.

Nanami, now a translucent figure, looked at her hands in shock before glaring at Moss. "What did you do to me?!"

Moss smiled. "I freed you from your physical shell. You're neither organic nor data anymore. Doesn't that make you happy, girl?"

Happy?

Yeah right!

Nanami, furious, lunged at Biochemical Minervamon's body. "Give me back my body!"

Moss exhaled gently, creating an invisible barrier that blocked Nanami. Then she grabbed Quetzalmon's soul and shoved it back into the body, using Holy Bubble to wake it up.

"Ouch! Everything hurts!" Biochemical Minervamon, now possessed by Quetzalmon, awoke groaning, feeling like she'd been run over by a truck.

Nanami screamed, "You gave my body to a Digimon?!"

That was still her body! She could technically reenter it—Biochemical Minervamon could host two souls. But Nanami didn't know that. She assumed the body was lost to her now.

Moss didn't correct her and instead replied, "You took Quetzalmon's body before. Now it's just karma."

Tit for tat.

Nanami's face paled. She instantly realized the situation and begged, "I get it—I was wrong. Please, give me my body back."

Moss gave her a sweet smile. "Oh really? I don't believe you."

Nanami stiffened. "What do you want me to do to prove it?"

"Go reflect on your actions."

With that, Moss flicked her hand and summoned a gust of green swirling wind—

The first stage of the Evil Containment Wave.

"Ahhhhhh!"

Nanami screamed as she was swept up like she was in a spin cycle and sent flying into the sky.

Moss wasn't sealing her—just blowing her away.

She then turned to Biochemical Minervamon.

Originally, she had wanted to watch Yuma reunite with his birth parents, but this was more pressing. So she said goodbye to everyone and brought Biochemical Minervamon back to DATS HQ.

During the trip, Nanami's DigiSoul inside Biochemical Minervamon faded away, reverting her to Biochemical Quetzalmon.

"So... I was implanted with a human soul by Kurata, and that's how I became like this?" Quetzalmon asked after hearing Moss's explanation, then sincerely thanked her.

Moss accepted the gratitude and asked, "Can you retract your Digimon form a bit?"

Quetzalmon blinked. "Retract my Digimon form?"

As a mythical Digimon based on the feathered serpent god, Quetzalmon was quite intelligent and quickly understood what Moss meant. She tried.

Surprisingly, the transformation was easy. She shrank down and turned into a blonde girl in gothic attire—Nanami's body.

"So this is what it feels like to be human?" she murmured, now controlling Nanami's body with wide-eyed curiosity.

Moss understood that reaction—it was like how she felt becoming Angewomon, though Quetzalmon was even more naive.

"And can you switch back?" Moss asked.

"Of course. That's easy," she replied.

With a flash, the human form disappeared and a majestic Biochemical Quetzalmon appeared again.

Moss thought, "So she can freely shift between human and Digimon form… It's more like possession than implantation."

This made Quetzalmon-Nanami a unique case—a human body inhabited by a Digimon's soul and body.

Moss added, "If you want to safely separate from the human body in the future, we'll need to further study the biochemical Digimon tech."

Quetzalmon-Nanami, back in human form, nodded. "I think I'm smarter like this. Maybe this brain will make researching that tech easier!"

Moss smiled and summoned Astamon, assigning him to help her find a research facility and let her genius shine.

"Now that I've finished my duties as image ambassador, it's time to start that plan."

Five days ago, after seeing Astamon's Ultimate form—Dimensionalmon, Moss had a new idea.

As its name implies, Dimensionalmon can travel between dimensions—specifically, alternate Digital Worlds.

So Moss devised a plan: "Digimon World Grand Adventure".

Simple goal: take her Digimon crew on a tour across different Digital Worlds and expand their horizons.

The next morning, Astamon, Goblimon, Mushroomon, Otamamon, Gekomon, and Kunemon arrived with backpacks and supplies.

Moss cleared her throat. "Everyone's here. Time for our first Digimon World Grand Adventure. Are you ready?"

"Ready!" they all cheered.

"Excellent."

Moss pointed at Astamon and fired a week's worth of stored DigiSoul at him. "DigiSoul infusion: Exceed the limit!"

Wrapped in a glowing cocoon, Astamon re-emerged as the towering, armored, pink-and-white Dimensionalmon.

He extended his arms, releasing radiant white light that enveloped the group—

Nightfall. Desert.

Moss scanned the environment, murmuring, "Still the Digital World... but clearly a barren region."

Though still within the Digital World, this wasn't the one from Data Squad.

A completely new Digital World meant Dimensionalmon's ability had worked.

Exhausted, Dimensionalmon reverted to Astamon form.

"Boss, I see firelight over there!" Goblimon pointed toward a distant red glow.

"And two Digimon," Moss added.

Thanks to her Dragon Ball ki training, her sensory abilities were far superior to most Digimon.

"Let's check it out."

Leading her crew, Moss marched toward the fire.

Soon, they arrived and saw two Digimon near the flames:

One resembled a white cat, standing on two legs, with clawed gloves and a Holy Ring on its long tail—

Gatomon!

The other wore a deep-blue wizard hat, a high-collared robe that concealed most of its face, and carried a sun-shaped staff—

Wizardmon!
