Chapter 20 - Chapter:19-Auction House(3)

The air was thick with tension, the smell of blood and ash mingling with the electric charge of hatred. Adam stood in the midst of the wreckage, his breaths shallow, his wounds knitting themselves together with unnatural efficiency. Across from him, Shaltrin and Altrin circled like wolves scenting weakness.

Their legs twitched and pulsed, swelling grotesquely as veins bulged and muscles thickened. Whatever power coursed through them was building to a violent crescendo.

Then they moved.

Shaltrin's charge was accompanied by a deafening sonic shock, his speed cracking the air like a whip. In an instant, he was behind Adam, his foot lashing out with the force of a warhammer. The kick connected with Adam's side, and the world detonated.

BOOM!

A thunderous shockwave tore through the long hallway, shattering walls and collapsing the ceiling. Adam's body hurtled forward, his vision exploding with white-hot agony. The air was stripped from his lungs, replaced by the bitter taste of blood.

Before he could even process the pain, Altrin appeared before him, his leg already swinging. Another brutal kick slammed into Adam's chest, launching him through walls and corridors like a human missile. His body crashed through steel and stone, the impact a relentless assault on his already fractured bones.

He finally landed with a wet, sickening thud. Dust filled the air, mingling with the acidic taste of his own blood. His limbs twitched as he struggled to rise. Pain was his world, and he was drowning in it.

He opened his eyes, blurred vision sharpening just enough to see the massive pool beside him, its water dark and still, untouched by the violence that had just torn through the building.

A gust of wind tore past him, and suddenly Shaltrin and Altrin were there, their speed producing ear-splitting sonic booms.

Adam rose to his feet, muscles aching but his mind sharpening.

The fight resumed in a brutal frenzy.

Shaltrin's foot came down, the kick meant to end his life in a single blow. Adam twisted out of the way, his telekinesis thrumming through his muscles, making him faster, stronger. But the ground shattered beneath him, forcing him to stumble.

Altrin lunged, his legs wrapping around Adam's torso, iron-clad limbs squeezing him with crushing force as they tumbled into the pool. Water engulfed them, freezing cold and suffocating. Altrin's legs tightened around his chest, driving him deeper into the depths, his grip like a vice of living steel.

Adam's head was forced below the surface, his mouth filling with water as he struggled against the monstrous strength.

"Look at you, drowning like a rat," Altrin sneered, his voice muffled by the water. "Your bitch of a mother must be so proud. Maria the Crimson, lowering herself to take in some lowly lab rat of a human! What a whore!"

Shaltrin's laughter followed, a guttural, mocking sound. "She was probably desperate. Looking for something to play with. Maybe she's the real rat!"

The water around Adam's head began to boil. His pupils dilated, eyes blazing with fury.

"The fuck… did you just say about my mother?"

Adam's scream was an eruption of wrath and hatred. His telekinesis surged, the water around him rippling with deadly intent. His hands shot out, fingers latching onto Altrin's legs.

With a feral snarl, he ripped them clean off.

Blood exploded into the water, staining the pool crimson. Altrin's shriek was a broken, pitiful thing, his agony twisting into mindless terror.

But Adam wasn't finished. Not yet.

He shot out of the water with his legs fully extended, his telekinesis propelling him like a bullet. His feet slammed into Altrin's chest, the force of the dropkick sending the alien hurtling backward. His body hit the water like a stone, sinking beneath the bloody surface.

"Brother!" Shaltrin roared, rage and desperation mingling with terror. Without hesitation, he charged forward, his body a blur of speed as he leaped toward Adam with the force of a meteor.

But Adam was ready.

As Shaltrin descended, Adam's jaws snapped around his leg, his teeth sinking deep into the alien's flesh.

With a savage yank, Adam tore the limb from Shaltrin's body. Blood poured from the wound like a waterfall, painting the already chaotic scene in fresh gore.

Shaltrin's body hit the ground, writhing and spasming, his cries echoing throughout the chamber. He scrambled backward, hands clawing at the ground, his voice cracking with pleading.

"N-no… please… I-I didn't mean—"

Adam's eyes were dead and cold. A predator's gaze.

"Where is the auction house?" he questioned.

"...." Shaltrin was silent for a while. He contemplated if he should sell out Savan. But....he remembered all the times Savan left him behind to save his own skin.

He knew Savan didn't actually care for him so...

"Go through the hallway...then..go to a red door, inside there will be a elevator,it only opens to the fingerprint of me and some other people,so you will need m-" before he could finish talking Adam gripped Shaltrin's severed leg, his fingers tightening around the slick, dripping limb.

And then he brought it down.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Until Shaltrin's skull was nothing but splintered bone and mangled flesh, only small embers of life remained.

Adam dropped the shattered leg and turned, his breathing heavy but his mind already craving more blood.

The sound of coughing came from the pool. Altrin had somehow resurfaced, his broken body flailing as he vomited water from his mouth. His eyes, filled with rage and terror, locked onto Adam and then his eyes saw the body of his brother. He assumed he was dead.

"You… you monster…" Altrin cursed, voice trembling with pain. "You'll pay for this. You'll—"

A low rumble filled the air as Adam's telekinesis stirred. Above Altrin, a jagged piece of the broken doorframe hung like a guillotine, its edge glinting like the executioner's blade.

Adam flicked his finger.

CHOP.

The guillotine crashed down, cleaving Altrin's head from his body with brutal finality.

Steam wafted from Adam's shoulders, the air around him still shimmering from the heat. His own rage boiled beneath the surface, a constant, churning storm.

"Weird…" Adam muttered, glancing at his hands, the skin still tingling. "I've never boiled before… At least, I think I haven't."

He took one last look at the carnage. The two brothers' corpses lay broken and bloodied in the pool room, their arrogance and cruelty rewarded with nothing but pain.

Adam took the segmented body of Shaltrin.

And then Adam turned away, his footsteps echoing down the shattered hallway.

The body of Shaltrin leaked blood on the floor leaving a streak of red as Adam dragged it.

He walked and he walked until he got to the red,he went in and used the fingerprint of Shaltrin.

[Welcome!,Shaltrin]

The AI voice said.

In a few moments, though it felt like hours the elevator stopped.

Adam let go off the body of Shaltrin.

"So long you insect!" with that he walked intro the hallway covered in golden plating. Fancy ornaments and red carpets all around.

"Chandeliers made out of rare beast skeletons, rare tropical trees on the vergw of extinction..." Adam remakred and observed as he went about his way.

"This seems a bit excessive...compensating for something?"

After a while Adam got too a long and large gate. It was very luxurious and ridiculously large.

Adam pressed his hands on the gate and opened it.

"Goddamn it this is heavy." even though he said that he opened it with relative ease.

Inside there were hundreds of aliens of all shapes and sizes. Some as large as a small house, guess that's why they needed that big of a door.

Some as small as a twig.

On the stage a person was talking abiut items and their prices.

It took a while before they noticed him.

"What is that thing?"

"What sort of ugly creature is that?" an alien, barely 3 feet tall with toad like skin and ridiculously oversized head, said.

The auctioneer quickly called the guards.

Two tall figures stepped out. They had fish like gills and a lizard like face.

They pulled out their weapons, sharp long claws that came out of their elbows.

Before they could scratch Adam,he took them by the arms and flipped them over.

Adam used his telekinesis and made a drink float to him.

He sipped the beverage before letting it drop to the ground.

"Ah,my first taste of alcohol....tastes like shit!"
