Chapter 26 - C26 - A Short Study Session

Luke and Lawrence arrived back on board the Legacy around 6PM. With a wave, Lawrence left him to his own devices.

He decided to return to his research lab first. As he teleported in, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. His package had arrived.

Opening the box, he smiled. His first personal fabricator. After starting the settings, he immediately told it to build the slave bots.

He then fed it carbon slag and walked over to his clones. The device was already in the process of creating his fourth clone. He tossed the three a cluster of bananas.

While he waited, he got on his holo and looked through the pinnacle of the military's gene editing technology.

There were several eye replacements. Most of them merely allowed for stronger sight, but a few were special.

The hex eyes put curses into the eyes of the beholder. Spirit Eyes could allow one to see spirits clearly in conjunction with the realm of the living no matter the location.

Most often eyes were linked to mysterious beasts. By taking the eys for theirselves, cultivators became attuned to that bloodline. This was, in essence, what he was told to stay away from as a beacon for humanity.

He looked for a while longer before settling on a pair.

He skimmed through the list a while longer before selecting his other body parts. If he chose insect parts, it was instant death, so he had avoided them entirely.

With a grin he turned to the top-secret and not-so-secret information regarding World Stones.

"World Stones are a natural phenomena of heaven and earth. Ocurring naturally on planets with a high density of cultivation resources corresponding to one of the seven elements, they can use those resources to turn into a corresponding world bead."

"The seven elements are as follows: Fire, water, wood, earth, metal, yin, and yang. For example, by taking fire, water, wood, earth, metal, yin, and yang attuned metal ores and infusing them into the World Stone, one can create a Metal World Bead."

"Once a world bead is created, it will begin to form a world inside the bead. The cultivator can then swallow corresponding cultivation treasures attuned to the 3000 dao."

"For example, in the use case above, one would begin to ingest metal ores attuned to the sword dao to add to the sword dao in his world."

"As the small world inside the world bead consumes the principles of these treasures, it will foster growth in the world inside."

"Cultivation treasures have their various levels of efficacy. As such, to truly maximize the ability and growth of one's inner world, one must first select the initial seven treasures at tier 9."

"All treasures thereafter will be able to grow over time to meet them at the peak. As such, they can be of any rank."

"A cultivator can always replace an inner dao treasure with one of a higher rank, but it is generally far more worth it to grab more treasures until they reach the full 3000 dao. Only then can the inner world truly erupt with sentient life."

"Unlike other spirit embryos, multiple World Beads can inhabit the same person. However, they are limited to World Beads of different corresponding elements."

"Completed World Beads show remarkable returns. They can supplement a cultivator's path, and the cultivator can use the small world's world energy to supplement their attacks. Not to mention the faith energy of the beings inside…"

Luke smiled. It seemed that Xilec's seven moons were fated for just such a creation.

Tidying up his studies, he walked over to the fabricator. It had successfully built the slave bots. After connecting to the fabricator, the small bots could help the fabricator move the heavy pieces and build large objects from the schematics of a smaller device.

It was time. Luke fed the fabricator the designs of the Gladiator Contessa Mark VII BioFabricator. If began to start work on the first piece. The total time it would take was just under three days.

He left the clones with orders to change their genetic structure, freedom to use the bathroom, and a daily allowance to get food on the ship. It was time for dinner.
