The great hall of the Imperial Palace was lined with high-ranking ministers, scholars, and military officials, each standing in their designated places. Their silken robes rustled softly as they exchanged wary glances, their expressions tight with unease.
At the far end of the hall, standing before the golden throne, was General Ryosuke. His presence alone commanded the room, his broad frame adorned in black and crimson armor, his sword resting at his side. He said nothing, his cold gaze sweeping across the assembled officials.

A moment later, the doors to the inner chamber slid open.
A procession of attendants entered first, their heads bowed low, their movements precise. And then, the Emperor appeared.
The hall fell into immediate silence.
