I laid in bed grinning like a villain. Oh, Mr. Knight was I going to lose his mind when he found my little gift. I could already picture it—him storming into my apartment, veins popping, barking at me like an overpriced, well-groomed Doberman.
Oh, how I wished I could see his face when he pulled back his pillow and found my carefully curated surprise.

Until I woke up to the sound of giggling.
…Wait. Did I leave my TV on?
I cracked one eye open. Sunlight. A tree. Blue sky.
Wait. A tree?!
I bolted upright.
I was in a playground.
KIDS SURROUNDED ME, LAUGHING. POINTING. JUDGING.
A pillow was beside me. On top of it, a note:
"Since you like games…"
I screamed.
"LEXUS KNIGHT, YOU LITTLE—!"
