He bent down, grabbing Sorayah's chin roughly, forcing her to meet his gaze. Her eyes were ablaze with hate, unwavering. He gritted his teeth.
"I won't kill you not because I'm merciful which you already know, but because the Beta Lord would be displeased. But I will hurt you so badly that death will seem like a blessing. You'll be begging for it when I'm done. You'll be vomiting suicide."
A bitter smile spread across Sorayah's bloodied lips. She spat a little, crimson trailing down her chin.
"Then kill me," she said, her voice soft but resolute. "I'd rather die on this ground than let filthy animals like you lay a hand on me."
With a thunderous roar, Adam struck her across the face. The force of the blow echoed, drawing horrified gasps from the crowd. Blood spattered from Sorayah's mouth, her head snapping to the side. She collapsed once more to the ground but still, no tears fell.
Adam climbed over her, his hands reaching for her skirt, eyes gleaming with sick anticipation.
