"The rule here," Adam said, his tone dropping into something cold and final, "states that if a newly brought servant is sent into the Valley of Death to extract organs but fails to do so or worse, dies then one of the longer-serving prisoners will be granted freedom."
He turned his gaze to Theo. "Since this new servant failed to harvest even a single organ, Theo, you are now free to leave."
Sorayah's breath caught in her throat as waves of shock and betrayal washed over her.
"Thank you, my lord," Theo said with a victorious smile. He didn't spare Sorayah a second glance as he turned and strode out of the Valley of Death, his chains rattling softly with each step.
