Leonard's room became very quiet when Seira said that. Even the man could not say anything, and he just stared blankly at her.
Seira's words seemed to hit something inside him, making him realize what he had been trying to hide.
Leonard then pulled away, allowing Seira to finally break away from him and he picked up the basket that contained all the dirty clothes of the knights in the mansion.
"There's no need for you to think too much about my words. I'm just saying what I think I see in you. It's better that you improve yourself, than that you make yourself fall deeper," she said and left the room.
The woman who had been on his bed, immediately snorted in annoyance when she heard Seira's words. She felt it was ridiculous and had no meaning at all.
"What the hell was that? Her words are so ridiculous to hear, it's complete nonsense. You didn't think of that, did you, Lord Leonard?" she asked but Leonard still remained where he was.
"Lord Leonard!" she called louder and the knight turned to her.
He suddenly smiled, showing an unusual smile. "Mylla, can you go home for now? I think I'm not in the mood anymore and need for some rest right now," she said.
"Why did you suddenly change your mind? Is it because of what that maid said earlier?" asked Mylla with confusion and disappointment.
However, Leonard still asked her to leave and didn't tell her any clear reason why he had suddenly sent her away. Leonard only said that he was tired, even though they had just started their activities.
Having no other choice, and there was no way she could go against his words, Mylla finally decided to leave Leonard alone in his room.
After the door was closed and locked, Leonard sat on his bed rubbing his face. Somehow Seira's words really seemed to unlock something that he had buried so deeply for so long.
He let out a long sigh, while still rubbing his face in frustration.
Meanwhile, Seira went to wash the clothes and she saw Albert who had just returned from somewhere. They happened to cross paths, and Albert saw the basket in Seira's hand.
"So you're going to do laundry today? Did you take the dirty clothes from my room?" he asked.
She nodded. "I did, I took your dirty clothes."
While they were chatting in the hallway of the Mansion, Mylla appeared and then tried to leave after Leonard chased her away.
Now Seira and Albert's eyes were on her, making Mylla quietly look back at them.
"What are you looking at?" she asked Seira irritably, because she thought Leonard kicked her out for that nonsense.
She then turned to Albert and walked away from the mansion.
"She must be Leonard's toy," Albert said as he watched the beautiful woman leave them.
He said that casually, as if it was normal for strange women to come in and out of the mansion except for their servants.
"That's right, earlier I accidentally caught them when they were in the room together. I thought Lord Leonard wasn't in his room, so I immediately opened the door," she explained.
"That's how he is. He often does things like that when we're coming back from the war," he replied.
It was like a habit for Leonard to do that to some women.
"You're no different. You asked me to sleep with you back then," Seira said.
"I know that, but I am different from Leonard. My needs are not as great as his. But it's not just in the sexual sense, he seems to seek attention from the women around him."
Seira became curious about what Leonard's background was like. It turned out that Albert knew quite a lot about it, as they had been friends since childhood.
"Actually, what he did was not much different from what his mother did." Albert leaned against the wall while folding his arms in front of his chest. Remembering his past together with his best friend, Leonard.
"Actually Leonard..."
In the laundry room, Seira scrubbed the clothes with both hands. Hoping that all the dirt would disappear if she did so.
However, her focus was distracted when she recalled Leonard's story as a child.
She remembered how Albert had explained that Leonard's mother back then was also a call woman. She welcomed men to sleep with her, especially if they were nobles.
"Because there were so many men playing with his mother, he didn't even know which man was his father. Her mother doesn't even know who Leonard's real father is."
Albert also explained that Leonard's mother was too busy with the men to make Leonard feel dumped. He just kept being left at home alone, with the money his mother gave him. Luckily, Albert was always there with Leonard and kept him company.
That is also the reason why they seem to be closer together than Harvey.
"Maybe that's why he tries to seek attention from other women, just like he sought it from his mother."
The movement of Seira's hands that were washing clothes instantly stopped when she remembered that sentence. No wonder why Seira could see a void in the man's eyes.
"The lack of attention from a mother, especially since she was the only one Leonard trusted for a long time. Made him seek all that attention and affection from others but by sleeping with them," she muttered.
She tried to dismiss the thought and focus on her current job of washing. She didn't want to ruin the clothes she was washing, especially when Harvey asked her to be careful.
However, Seira found it a little difficult to push away her thoughts about Leonard. She felt that there was something connected between Leonard's past and hers, namely the lack of attention from their mother.
However, Seira knew that she did not lack that attention but rather lost it when she still needed her mother's figure.
Unlike Leonard who sought attention from others, Seira was trying to get something so big from her current pain.
"They must pay for what they have taken from me."
