Chapter 68 - Chapter 68

Here's a cleaned-up and improved English version of the passage:

Arrived safely home.

But this time, Jia Fuhai realized the downside of making his neighborhood famous. Now, he had to greet everyone he met. Even covering his face with a box didn't help.

...

After reaching his own floor, Chen Xiaofeng chuckled. "Brother Jia, you're famous now!" He could barely contain his laughter seeing Jia Fuhai's forced smile.

"It's over. There's no fun left in Baihu Park anymore," Jia Fuhai sighed, clearly uncomfortable with all the attention.

"Don't worry, Brother Hai, we can always escape to somewhere else," Zhen Linna said, nonchalantly. There wasn't much to do around here anyway.

"Brother Jia, the community group has been buzzing about your Jia Ji Cake Factory. Almost everyone knows about it now," Chen Xiaofeng laughed, scrolling through his phone. He had been checking the group chat in the car earlier, and the discussion was still lively—even the property management got involved.

Jia Fuhai looked embarrassed. Then he unlocked his door.

"Brother Hai, you're back! And... who's this?" Zhen Linqi asked, noticing the unfamiliar man.

"Oh, this shameless guy insisted on coming home with me for dinner," Jia Fuhai said grumpily.

"Don't blame me—blame Brother Jia's cooking skills for being too tempting," Chen Xiaofeng replied. "As long as I have no shame, I have nothing to fear. Good food is worth losing face over."

"This is your sister-in-law, that one's also your sister-in-law, and these are my in-laws and two sons," Jia Fuhai introduced, rolling his eyes.

"Ah?" Chen Xiaofeng froze. He had experienced many things in life, but this? A man living peacefully with multiple wives and in-laws? That was mind-blowing.

"This shameless guy here is Chen Xiaofeng. He's the one who organized the factory tour," Jia Fuhai introduced him to his family.

"Hello," Zhen Linqi and Lin Feifei greeted him.

"Uh, hello, sisters-in-law," Chen Xiaofeng stammered, still in shock. Brother Jia was his hero now. He had to learn from him.

"I'll start cooking," Jia Fuhai said, heading to the kitchen.

"Brother Jia, let me watch how you do it," Chen Xiaofeng quickly followed. Shameless he might be, but he still knew to respect his host.

Once in the kitchen, Chen Xiaofeng couldn't hold back. "Brother Jia, I admire you."

"What's there to admire?" Jia Fuhai asked, puzzled.

"I mean, you live with the girl's parents! Are you the heir of some mega-rich family?"

"You're thinking too much. All my money comes from my wife. Even the funds for the factory are from her," Jia Fuhai admitted, wishing he were born into wealth.

"Wait, seriously?" Chen Xiaofeng couldn't believe it. In his experience, rich women kept mistresses, not other women. This was unheard of.

"Why would I lie to you?" Jia Fuhai shot back.

"Brother Jia, you are my idol," Chen Xiaofeng was genuinely impressed. This was better than his wealth-driven lifestyle.

"Rich kids like you can rely on your fathers. People like me? We rely on our wives," Jia Fuhai said, proudly.

Chen Xiaofeng was speechless. He had met his match—someone even more shameless than him. Brother Jia had truly mastered the art of life.

Jia Fuhai busied himself cooking while Chen Xiaofeng stood there, processing this newfound wisdom. The scent of food soon hit his nostrils, jolting him out of his thoughts.

"Brother Jia, that smells amazing!" Chen Xiaofeng's mouth watered.

"Wait until it's done," Jia Fuhai said, expertly handling the cooking.

"I'll stay quiet and not disturb you," Chen Xiaofeng said, sitting back as his mouth watered even more.

Once the meal was prepared, Chen Xiaofeng helped serve the food, showing good manners as a guest. Jia Fuhai made special meals for his two young sons.

"Brother Hai, your sons can feed themselves?" Chen Xiaofeng was surprised, watching them eat on their own.

"Can you feed yourself?" Jia Fuhai replied, exasperated.

"Well, your sons are amazing, eating by themselves at such a young age!" Chen Xiaofeng was still impressed.

"Let's eat," Jia Fuhai announced, and the family began their meal.

Chen Xiaofeng finally understood why the kids were so quiet. The food was just that good. The children's maturity in eating wasn't just because of the delicious food; they were unusually precocious for their age.

Zhen Fugui, Jia's father-in-law, frowned at Chen Xiaofeng's behavior. The man had no table manners, unlike him. Zhen Fugui chewed slowly, savoring every bite, in stark contrast to the hungry guest beside him.

But Chen Xiaofeng kept asking for more.

"Another bowl!"

"Another bowl!"

He kept going, polishing off all the leftovers like a vacuum cleaner. Even the two little ones looked at him in disbelief—was he starving?

After dinner, the kids went to the living room to play chess, and the women returned to their rooms. Chen Xiaofeng leaned back in his chair, his belly full to bursting, unable to move.

Jia Fuhai just let him rest, amused at his lack of self-control.

Sitting beside his son, who was engrossed in his chess game, Jia Fuhai began watching a video on his phone—the footage of the food factory.

The comments from netizens amused him:

"They're all chefs who failed, so they became abstract artists. You've got talent but decided to cook?"

"Come back to gaming, man. You don't even know how to use additives properly!"

"This streamer is crazy! How does he have the money to start a business?"

"There's plenty of money in the gaming industry. You should come back and make some!"

"Given his overall strategy, he'll have to return to gaming after this cooking stint."

Jia Fuhai nearly burst out laughing. These netizens had a talent for sarcasm. Their witty, sharp comments often contained ideas he could never dream of.

He thought about whether to continue promoting his product since it couldn't last more than three days on the shelf outside of Hong Kong. But life was about having fun.

He sifted through the videos from his factory, picked one, edited it, and uploaded it with the title: "I'm at the Cake Factory, Signing Orders Non-Stop."

With a sly smile, he added a link to the Jia Ji Cake Factory website.
