I stood on the balcony, wearing a black sweater and a pair of black jeans, clutching the ring Dominic had given me, to draw strength as I waited for him to come. I'd not stay with him or marry him after this. But I'd let him in our child's life.
My stomach was in knots the whole day, hoping for the best. I just wished everything to go according to the plan and for Adessa to be safe. Because she was the insider who betrayed Rosario and it'd not be good for her if he got the hint.
I looked out into the sunny yet chilly day. It was December and the weather was too cold to stand outside. But it was suffocating inside.
