"Super Captain Kippy!"
Rhodes stared at the child before him. Kippy was at most ten, but his superhero clothing style reflected a younger mental age. He wore a cape and a plastic helmet to obscure his head and eyes. His voice also fit a five-year-old, with that high pitch it had. However, Kippy's mouth was left unguarded. His accidents were visible just from that chipped tooth.
The doctor couldn't help but laugh. When Kippy straightened his body, Rhodes played with the kid's excitement. He said, "Yay, I feel safer now that Super Captain Kippy is here!"
"Of course! Super Captain Kippy is invincible!" Kippy struck a mighty pose, chest puffed and arms akimbo. Rhodes patronized him by supplying the cheering crowd noises.
At this sight, Killian chuckled in amusement.
Only Kathy groaned and covered her face with a hand. She sighed and shook her head. "Kippy, how's your recon? Did you find anything worth reporting?"
