It probably wasn't a good idea to get Killian involved. Rhodes could only chuckle when he wanted to pout. That man was barely getting any rest. Flying to him like a cloud would only weaken Killian more. In the end, they just went home.
On the drive, Brody kept asking about the stories. Rhodes didn't know the truth, but his recent experiences might have offered answers. He had his conjectures, which were justified through meticulous reasoning. Whether the theories were medical or paranormal, Rhodes approached them the same way. Even if Brody understood very little, he treated Rhodes's rumbling like a podcast.
Ishtar and Frieda listened in the backseat. The former gasped at some points, but the latter could only get confused. At this point, Ishtar could only pray for Frieda's college entrance exam results.
