Chapter 6: Demon king of Fury!

The air crackled with tension as Kieth and his companions exchanged worried glances. The ominous rumbling echoed through the chamber, a harbinger of the chaos that awaited them outside. The victory over Vorgath felt fleeting, overshadowed by the looming threat of whatever dark force was stirring beyond the confines of the hidden chamber.

"Everyone, we need to move!" Kieth shouted, urgency lacing his voice. "If there's a large energy signature outside, it could mean reinforcements for the demons or something even worse!"

Lyra nodded, her expression resolute. "We can't let the captives be caught in the crossfire. We need to get them to safety first."

"Go! Go to the back tunnel!" Kieth ordered, and Sir Aleric nodded as he saw Kieth holding it and remembered what it was. "This is a C4. It can explode and destroy buildings or castles," Kieth explained. "So you mean this tiny thing can do that? Fascinating, to think human ingenuity has reached this far. I wish I could go to your world and see what the future holds." He said with sparkling eyes. And Kieth just shrugged and said, "Sir Aleric, I think that's for the future."

And Keith put the C4 on the walls. To keep the demon that arrived away and give them time to escape.

"Ok, let's see if you can contend with this."

With a swift motion, Kieth activated the timer on the C4, the digital display counting down ominously. The faint beeping echoed in the chamber, a stark reminder of the impending explosion. He turned to his companions, urgency etched on his face. "We have five minutes. That should be enough time to get everyone out."

Lyra moved quickly, rallying the captives who had been huddled in the corner of the chamber. "This way! Stay close!" she urged, her voice steady despite the chaos around them. The captives, a mix of frightened villagers and weary warriors, stumbled to their feet, their eyes wide with fear and confusion.

Sir Aleric, ever the stalwart knight, took up the rear, ensuring that no one was left behind. "Hurry! We must not linger!" he called out, his sword drawn, ready to defend against any lurking threats.

As they made their way through the narrow passage leading to the back tunnel, the rumbling outside intensified, shaking the very walls of the chamber. Dust and debris fell from the ceiling, and Kieth could feel the heat of the energy signature growing stronger. "We need to move faster!" he urged, glancing back at the C4, its timer now ticking down to three minutes. And summon his exo suit to boost his speed.

"Kieth, let's go! He's here!" Josh urges him to run.

Kieth's heart raced as he activated his exo suit, the familiar hum of machinery enveloping him. The suit enhanced his speed and strength, propelling him forward as he sprinted down the narrow passage. "I'm right behind you!" he shouted, glancing back at Josh, who was struggling to keep pace with the frightened captives.

"Keep moving! We can't let them catch us!" Josh yelled, his voice strained but determined. The urgency in his tone spurred Kieth on, and he pushed himself harder, the suit's servos whirring in response to his every command.

As they reached the mouth of the tunnel, Lyra turned to ensure everyone was accounted for. "Is everyone here?" she called out, her voice echoing in the dim light. The captives nodded, their faces pale but resolute.

"Good! Now, let's go!" Kieth urged, leading the way into the darkness of the tunnel. The air was thick with dust, and the sound of their hurried footsteps reverberated off the stone walls. Behind them, the rumbling grew louder, a menacing reminder of the chaos that awaited them.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the chamber they had just left, followed by a blinding flash of light. Kieth glanced back just in time to see a massive figure emerge from the smoke and debris—a demon, towering and grotesque, its eyes glowing with malevolent energy.

"Go! Now!" Kieth shouted, his heart pounding in his chest. He could feel the heat radiating from the demon, a palpable force that sent shivers down his spine. "We can't let it catch up to us!"

Sir Aleric, still at the rear, turned to face the demon, his sword raised high. "I will hold it off! You must escape!" he declared, his voice steady despite the fear that flickered in his eyes.

"No! We can't leave you!" Lyra protested, her voice filled with desperation.

"There's no time! Go!" Aleric insisted, his gaze fierce. "I will buy you the time you need. Now, run!"

Keith felt a surge of anger and fear, but he knew they had no choice. "Aleric, be careful!" he shouted, but the knight was already charging toward the demon, sword gleaming in the dim light.

"Come on!" Kieth urged, grabbing Lyra's arm and pulling her forward. "We have to go!"

They sprinted deeper into the tunnel, the sound of Aleric's battle fading behind them. The passage twisted and turned, and Kieth could feel the weight of their situation pressing down on him. They had to reach the exit before the demon caught up, before the C4 detonated and brought the entire chamber down around them.

"How much further?" Josh gasped, his breath coming in ragged bursts.

How much further? "Josh gasped, his breath coming in ragged bursts.

"Just a little more!" Kieth replied, his voice strained. "We're almost there!"

As they rounded a final bend, a faint light appeared ahead, illuminating the exit. Keith's heart soared with hope. "There! We made it!" he shouted, urging everyone forward.

But just as they reached the threshold, a deafening roar echoed through the tunnel, shaking the ground beneath their feet. The demon had followed them, its massive form filling the entrance, blocking their escape. But at the same time, the C4 time hit zero.

The explosion rocked the chamber behind them, a thunderous roar that sent shockwaves through the tunnel. Keith felt the heat wash over him, and the ground trembled violently as debris rained down from the ceiling. The blinding light of the blast illuminated the tunnel, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

"Move! Now!" Kieth shouted, adrenaline surging through him as he pushed past the stunned captives. The demon, momentarily distracted by the explosion, let out a furious bellow, its glowing eyes narrowing as it turned its attention back to them. And he summoned his military jeep (level 5) mounted with a mini gun.

"Everyone, hop in the vehicle now! I'll cover you!" Kieth shouted. But Josh and Lyra stop him. Are you out of your mind, Kieth!? This is serious. We can't let you hold them off alone!" Josh said.

"We don't have much time, brother. That thing that's chasing us isn't dead yet. You need to hurry! I'll catch up with my motorcycle. Go!" As he shouted, he summoned his mini-gun and unleashed a barrage of bullets, killing many demons that were trying to come near them. "I said go!"

The urgency in Kieth's voice brooked no argument, and the fear in his eyes was enough to spur Josh and Lyra into action. They exchanged a quick glance, the weight of their decision heavy in the air, but they knew they had to trust him.

"Fine! But you better follow us!" Josh shouted, his voice tinged with desperation as he ushered the captives into the jeep. Lyra climbed in beside him, her heart racing as she glanced back at Kieth, who stood resolute, ready to face the demon.

With a final nod, Kieth turned back to the monstrous figure that loomed in the tunnel, its grotesque features twisted in rage. The demon charged, its massive claws outstretched, but Kieth was ready. He unleashed another volley from the mini-gun, the bullets tearing through the air and striking the demon with brutal force.

"Get out of here!" Kieth yelled, his voice echoing in the confined space. The jeep roared to life, and Josh slammed the accelerator, the vehicle lurching forward as they sped away from the chaos.

As the jeep barreled down the tunnel, Kieth could hear the demon's furious roars behind him, the sound reverberating through the stone walls. He focused on the task at hand, firing relentlessly at the advancing horde of demons that had been drawn to the explosion. Each pull of the trigger sent a spray of bullets into the throng, buying precious seconds for his friends to escape.

But the demon was relentless. It barreled through the debris, its eyes locked onto Kieth with a predatory intensity. He could feel the heat radiating from its body, a palpable force that threatened to overwhelm him.

"Come on, come on!" Kieth muttered under his breath, his heart pounding as he continued to fire. He could see the exit growing closer, the light at the end of the tunnel beckoning him. But the demon was gaining ground, its massive form closing in.

Just as Keith thought he might be overwhelmed, he heard the roar of his motorcycle materializing behind him. With a quick glance, he saw it rev to life, the sleek machine glinting in the dim light. "Perfect timing!" he shouted, leaping onto the bike and revving the engine. But as he pushes the throttle, he can sense an ominous presence, and its killing intent is directed towards him .

"Oh, fuck, this is bad," he said and squeezed the throttle to full speed.

Emergency alert!

Warning! Warning! Warning!

A large energy signature is detected!

And it's heading towards the players direction!

The player needs to escape! Death is certain if that demon catches up!

"Heh, yeah. Felt that. Can you tell us more informative about our situation, Mataron?"

"Affirmative ! I scan the enemy energy signature, and my analysis result is the enemy danger level is category 8."

"Which is?" Kieth asked. But Metatron paused for a second before speaking again.

"The enemy that is chasing you is one of the demon kings!" As Metatron said that, Kieth's eyes widened. "The fuck you say?!"

"Affirmative! The enemy is demon king level! Or it is the demon king!"

Keith's heart raced as the weight of Metatron's words sank in. A demon king? This was no ordinary foe; this was a being of immense power, capable of devastating destruction. The urgency of their situation intensified, and he felt the adrenaline coursing through his veins.

"Great, just what I needed," Kieth muttered, gripping the handlebars of his motorcycle tightly. He could hear the demon's furious roars echoing behind him, a chilling reminder of the threat that pursued them. "How do we stop a demon king?"

"Engaging combat protocols is not advisable," Metatron replied, its voice steady despite the chaos. "Your best chance of survival is to escape. The demon king possesses abilities far beyond your current capabilities. He outmatches you in level, ability, skills, stats, etc."

"Yeah, I figured that out," Kieth snapped, his focus shifting back to the tunnel ahead. The light at the end was growing brighter, but so was the sound of the demon's pursuit. "Any suggestions on how to make that happen?"

"Utilize the terrain to your advantage. The tunnel is unstable; if you can create a collapse, it may hinder the demon's pursuit."

Keith's mind raced as he considered Metatron's advice. "Right. I just need to buy myself some time. I don't have a coin. Shit!" He glanced back, catching a glimpse of the demon king's massive form barreling down the tunnel, its eyes glowing with a malevolent light. It was gaining on him, and he could feel the heat radiating from its body even from a distance.

"Come over here, human! I can smell you!!!" He shouted, and Kieth just glanced back and said,. "Man, are you sniffing my farts? You're just like my ex-girlfriend; you don't know when to quit."

"Hold my balls, Meta!" Kieth shouted, revving the motorcycle's engine to its maximum. He swerved sharply, aiming for a narrow section of the tunnel where the walls looked particularly unstable. "If I can just get it to follow me..."

As he approached the precarious section, he activated the motorcycle's boosters, launching himself forward with a burst of speed. The ground shook beneath him, and he could hear the demon king's furious bellow echoing behind him. Keith's heart raced as he maneuvered through the tight space, the walls closing in around him.

"Now or never!" he shouted, slamming the brakes and skidding to a halt. He quickly activated a series of explosives he had stashed on the bike, setting them to detonate on a timer. "Get ready for a little surprise!"

With a final glance back, he saw the demon king charging toward him, its claws outstretched and its eyes filled with rage. Keith gritted his teeth and hit the throttle again, darting away just as the explosives detonated behind him.

The explosion rocked the tunnel, sending debris flying and causing the walls to tremble. Keith felt the shockwave push him forward, and he barely managed to keep the motorcycle upright as he sped away from the chaos. Behind him, the sound of the demon king's roar was drowned out by the thunderous crash of collapsing stone.

"Did it work?" Kieth asked, his heart pounding as he navigated the twisting tunnel.

"Preliminary scans indicate a significant delay in the demon king's pursuit," Metatron replied. "However, it is likely that it will recover quickly. You must continue to move."

"Right, got it!" Kieth pressed on, the light at the end of the tunnel growing closer. He could see the exit now, a glimmer of hope in the darkness. "Just a little further!"

As he burst out of the tunnel, the bright sunlight momentarily blinded him. He squinted against the glare, quickly adjusting to the open space outside. The landscape was a stark contrast to the dark, oppressive tunnel—a sprawling field with rolling hills and a distant forest.

But there was no time to admire the view. Kieth could hear the rumbling of the ground behind him, the demon king emerging from the tunnel, its massive form silhouetted against the entrance. It was furious, and it was coming for him.

"Josh! Lyra!" Kieth shouted, scanning the area for his friends. He spotted the jeep parked a short distance away, the captives still inside, their faces pale with fear. "Get ready to move!"

He revved the motorcycle, feeling the power of the machine beneath him. "We need to regroup and figure out a plan!" he yelled, racing toward the jeep.

As he approached, he could see Josh and Lyra scrambling to get the captives ready. "What happened back there?" Josh asked, his eyes wide with concern.

"Long story! We need to get everyone out of here before that thing catches up!" Kieth replied, glancing back at the tunnel. The demon king was emerging, its eyes locked onto him with a predatory intensity.

"Get in! We need to go!" Lyra urged, her voice filled with urgency.

Keith jumped off the motorcycle, despawned the motorcycle, and sprinted toward the jeep, his heart racing. "Everyone, in the vehicle! Now!" he shouted, ushering the captives inside.

As they piled into the jeep, Kieth took a moment to catch his breath. "Josh, drive! We need to put as much distance between us and that demon as possible!"

Josh nodded, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. "On it!" He slammed the accelerator, and the jeep lurched forward, kicking up dirt and gravel as they sped away from the entrance of the tunnel.

Keith turned to look back, his heart pounding in his chest. The demon king was now fully outside, its massive form towering over the landscape, and it let out a roar that shook the ground beneath them. "It's coming!" he shouted, adrenaline surging through him.

Lyra glanced back, her eyes wide with fear. "What do we do? We can't outrun it forever!"

"We need to find a place to regroup and plan our next move," Kieth replied, scanning the horizon for any signs of shelter. "There! The forest!" He pointed to a dense thicket of trees in the distance. "If we can get there, we might be able to lose it in the underbrush."

Josh nodded, veering the jeep toward the forest. The trees loomed closer, their trunks thick and imposing. "Hold on!" he shouted as he swerved to avoid a large rock in their path.

The jeep bounced over uneven terrain, and Kieth felt the jolt in his bones. "Faster! We need to get to cover!" he urged, glancing back to see the demon king charging after them, its massive claws tearing through the ground.

As they reached the edge of the forest, Josh slammed on the brakes, and the jeep skidded to a halt. "Get out! We need to move!" Kieth shouted, already unbuckling his seatbelt and jumping out of the vehicle.

The captives scrambled out, fear etched on their faces. "This way!" Lyra called, leading them into the thick underbrush. Keith followed closely, his heart racing as he glanced back at the jeep. The demon king was now at the edge of the forest, its eyes scanning for them.

"Keith, what do we do now?" Josh asked, panting as they ducked behind a large tree.

"We need to find a way to slow it down," Kieth replied, his mind racing. "If we can create a diversion or set a trap, we might have a chance."

Lyra nodded, her expression determined. "I have some magic left. I can create a barrier to slow it down, but I'll need time to focus."

"Sir Grath, Keriel, Lariel, and Princess Lyra, you need to go with the captives heads to the dragon kingdom and report the situation so they can send reinforcements for us while I and Josh hold this fucker off." As he said that, he glanced at Josh, who unsheathed his great sword, and nodded to him. "Go!"

"But Kieth!" Lyra said, but Kieth cut her off.

"No, you can't do anything here. Please, I made a promise to your dad that I'll protect you and keep you safe. Please just go! Sir Grath!, please drag the princess away!" Kieth shouted, and Grath just nodded and grabbed the princess, and both Josh and he showed themselves to the demon king, who, after seeing them, had the largest smile.

"Well, well, well. Look who it is. I thought you pest was cowering and hiding under the tree, but let me praise you for showing yourself to me. As a reward, I will make your death quick and painless." As the demon king of fury (Aamon) said that, Kieth's system notification was alerting him over and over again.

Warning! Warning! Warning!

The player needs to escape! You're going to die if you fight him! Both of you need to live! You are facing a level 1600! You guys will be squashed like a bug! "

"Tsk, yeah, I know. What else can we do?! Run when we both know he can outrun us?! Hide when we both know the bitch can sense and smell our farts?! So yeah, we're fighting him the best we can because that's what heroes do!" Kieth said and glanced at Josh, who nodded to him. Can you just do me a favor? he whispered to Metatron. Can you do that?"

"Affirmative! Initiating command!"

"So are you going to stand there and wait for your deaths? That's no fun! Come on! Struggle against me! Fight for your lives."

"Yeah, just a moment, big fella! Don't cry after this!" And summon his rocket launcher and Josh dash forward using his ultimate skill.

Keith felt the weight of the moment settle heavily on his shoulders as he summoned his rocket launcher, the weapon materializing in his hands with a satisfying thud. The demon king, Aamon, stood before them, a towering figure of malice and power, his grotesque features twisted into a mocking grin.

"Come on! Struggle against me! Fight for your lives," Aamon taunted, his voice a deep rumble that echoed through the forest.

"Yeah, just a moment, big fella! Don't cry after this!" Kieth shouted back, his heart racing as he took aim. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through him, heightening his senses and sharpening his focus.

Josh, meanwhile, had activated his ultimate skill, a surge of energy enveloping him as he charged forward, his great sword gleaming in the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. "Kieth! Cover me! he yelled, determination etched on his face.

"Got it!" As he shouted, Kieth summoned his minigun and then one sentry gun.

The sentry gun whirred to life, its sensors scanning the area for threats. Keith positioned it strategically behind a large tree, ensuring it had a clear line of sight to the approaching demon king. "Let's see how you like this!" he shouted, firing the rocket launcher at Aamon.

The rocket soared through the air, trailing smoke as it hurtled toward the demon king. Aamon's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure, raising a massive claw to swat the projectile away. The explosion rocked the forest, sending debris flying and creating a cloud of dust and smoke.

"Now, Josh!" Kieth yelled, his voice cutting through the chaos. Josh, fueled by the energy of his ultimate skill, leaped into the air, his sword raised high. He came crashing down toward Aamon, aiming for a decisive strike.

But the demon king was quick. With a flick of his wrist, he deflected Josh's attack, sending him sprawling to the ground. "Is that all you've got?" Aamon taunted, his laughter echoing through the trees.

"Not even close!" Kieth shouted, firing the minigun at the demon king. The bullets rained down on Aamon, each shot striking true. The demon king roared in anger, his eyes narrowing as he turned his attention to Kieth.

"You think your little toys can harm me?" Aamon bellowed, charging forward, his massive form crashing through the underbrush. Kieth's heart raced as he realized the demon king was closing in fast.

"Meta, any suggestions?" Kieth shouted, desperately trying to keep his focus on the battle.

"Engage evasive maneuvers! Utilize the terrain to your advantage!" Metatron replied, its voice calm amidst the chaos.

"Right! Easier said than done," Kieth shouted, quickly shifting his position. He ducked behind a tree just as Aamon swung a massive claw, splintering the trunk where Kieth had just been standing. The force of the blow sent shockwaves through the ground, and Kieth stumbled but quickly regained his footing.

"Josh, keep him distracted!" Kieth yelled, summoning another sentry gun to cover their flank. "I'll set up a trap!"

Josh nodded, his determination unwavering. He charged at Aamon again, swinging his sword with all his might. "Come on, you overgrown lizard! Is that all you've got?" he taunted, trying to draw the demon king's attention away from Kieth. And Kieth summons a sentry shocker that looks like a mini car that shocks and stuns the opponents for 10 seconds.

As Aamon focused on Josh, Kieth quickly activated the explosives he had set earlier, strategically placing them around the area. "This should do the trick," he muttered, glancing back at the demon king, who was now fully engaged with Josh.

"Meta, how much time do I have before the explosives detonate?" Kieth asked, his heart racing.

"Approximately thirty seconds," Metatron replied. "You must act quickly."

"Got it!" Kieth shouted, sprinting toward the nearest tree to gain a better vantage point. He aimed his rocket launcher at Aamon, who was now swinging wildly at Josh, who was dodging and weaving with impressive agility.

"Hey, big guy! Over here!" Kieth shouted, drawing Aamon's attention. The demon king turned, his eyes blazing with fury as he locked onto Kieth.

"Foolish human! You think you can escape my wrath?" Aamon roared, his voice reverberating through the forest.

"Not escaping, just buying time!" Kieth replied, and in that moment the sentry shocker managed to get near him and electrocute him, stunning him momentarily, and Kieth fired another rocket. The projectile soared through the air, striking Aamon squarely in the chest. The explosion sent the demon king staggering back, but he quickly regained his footing, his rage intensifying.

"Is that all you got, humans? All of that just for a couple of dirty ones on my scale? Tsk, what a disappointment. I wish to see more," Aamon taunted. As he brushed the slight dirt to his chest. And he waved his hand, and all of Kieth's traps and sentry guns exploded, and both Josh and Kieth were stunned by the sheer force of that wave of his hand.

"Fuck, he froze. Tsk, Kieth, I want you to run as fast as you can. I'll buy you some time," Josh said, shaking Kieth.

Kieth shook his head, trying to clear the fog of disorientation that Aamon's attack had caused. "No way! We're not leaving each other behind!" he shouted, his voice hoarse with determination. He could see the demon king recovering, its eyes blazing with fury, and he knew they had to act fast.

"Yes, you are. Look at you just now; you just froze. So please, brother, leave while you still can. I can't protect us both, so go now!"

Keith's heart raced as he struggled to regain his bearings. The world around him felt like it was spinning, and the echo of Aamon's laughter reverberated in his ears. He could see the demon king towering over them, a malevolent grin spreading across its grotesque face.

"Josh, I can't just leave you!" Keith shouted, his voice filled with desperation.

"Listen to me!" Josh insisted, his eyes fierce with determination. "You have to survive! You're the only one who can get the captives to safety and find a way to stop this thing! I'll hold him off as long as I can. Just go!"

Keith felt a surge of anger and fear. "No! We fight together, or not at all!"

But Josh's expression softened, and he placed a hand on Kieth's shoulder. "You're stronger than you think, Kieth. You have to believe in yourself. I'll buy you time. Just go!"

Before Kieth could protest further, Josh charged at Aamon, his great sword raised high. "Hey, ugly! Over here!" he shouted, drawing the demon king's attention away from Kieth.

Kieth watched in horror as Josh engaged the demon king, dodging its massive claws and striking with all his might. The ground shook with each blow, and Kieth could see the determination in his brother's eyes.

"Meta, what can I do?" Kieth shouted, his voice filled with urgency.

"You can still use the belt, and the time before the arrival is still 10 minutes.

"Damn it, fine, let's do this." As he said that, he summoned the belt. And Josh heard a familiar sound.

"Standing by… complete!"
