Opening the portal to Parker's new home I saw devastation and a couple of cameramen along with Jameson. While in the first trilogy I could still understand his dislike of the spider, given the canonicity of this world I was just puzzled. The man poured slop on Spider-Man with such zeal and dedication, as if Parker killed and raped all members of his family, and in that sequence. Otherwise, his speeches about the threat from a teenager just helping out, a member of the Avengers and a fighter against Thanos who died on Titan look like the ramblings of a crazy grandfather.

Having created a pair of invisible spatial blades and powered them up for only a couple of seconds of existence, I made a dash towards the cameramen's cameras. Having received damage, the cameras stopped transmitting what was happening, and the operators, seeing the holes in the devices and not finding the already dissolved weapons, cursed and decided to retreat behind the van and keep a low profile. Grandpa, apparently considering himself immortal, which would explain all his attempts to bring a powerful mutant out of himself, remained to watch the destruction.

Making myself invisible, I quickly rushed towards the building. The Goblin's glider swept in front of me, breaking through the glass partition and dragging a female figure that was in its path for five metres. If it wasn't one of the new superheroines, then at the very least this collision should have confined the woman to a wheelchair. Stepping inside I found Goblin standing on the glider and Spider barely on his feet. I could see that unlike my Parker, nobody had taught him how to fight properly, and the guy was still using only the strength and agility he got from Spider. I couldn't say anything about Goblin's skills from the world of the first film spider, but if he's a bit like my Ozborn, then the man got a good training in childhood and for the first twenty-five years of his life he managed to learn a couple of styles, and the serum allowed the old man to jump around like in his youth and use all the skills he had learnt.

Quickly assessing Parker's prospects in the battle and remembering about the female half-corpse, I made a partial transformation of limbs and entered the acceleration. Literally flying to the goblin from the back in one leap, I launched a fire jet into the glider, completely disabling this technological perversion and sharpening claws cut off the right hand with a grenade ready to throw. With my left hand I made a grab and sealed the villain's face into the floor simultaneously creating quite costly ribbons of Sittorak entangled the villain and deprived him of even a ghostly hope of escape.

-Well, Peter, I think we have a lot to talk about. -Said Pierce. - Said Pierce, removing his invisibility and returning his limbs to their normal appearance, noting that his boots were dead after such a transformation.

-Who are you? - Asked a tense Parker, preparing for battle with another alien from a parallel world. His body was maximally tense, and a new portion of adrenaline from the sight of cut and almost instantly knocked out villain forced the brain to throw up not the best options for the development of events. Parker realised that at the speed at which the stranger attacked he might not be saved even by his instincts, which had brought his body out from under the deadly attacks of his enemies many times.

-P-Peter. - The attention of both superhumans was abruptly diverted to the groaning woman rising. Parker rushed to his aunt and covered her completely forgetting about the pain and a few seconds ago almost disobedient body. Pierce took a full breath and looked at Mae earnestly, which alerted Peter. Realising the strong scent of blood coming from the woman Rain took a step in their direction.

-Don't come any closer! - Said Parker looking at Pierce and began to try on ways to delay the enemy while Mei leaves the battlefield.

-Shh, spider, I'm not here with evil intentions. I'm just wondering how I got here and something tells me you know the answer to my question. But we don't have time to talk right now. In the next couple of minutes, the building will be completely surrounded by police from the neighbourhood, and your aunt has only three minutes to live with these injuries. - Ryan's words raised panic in Parker's mind, turning round he saw a red stain spreading rapidly over Mei's body.

-No! -May, May, May, hold on! Now we're going somewhere-" Parker panicked, picking up his aunt's settling body. No sooner had he lowered her body to the floor than Pierce was in front of him in a second, examining the woman's wound. Still not heeding the warnings from his gut, Parker didn't push the stranger away and just kept his gaze fixed on Ryan's hands, watching carefully and trying to suppress the growing Panic. During his time as a hero, Spider-Man hadn't always been able to save everyone and he'd had instances where he'd arrived too late. Seeing Mei's injuries he realised that she wouldn't make it to the nearest hospital and the thought was rejected by the teenager's mind. Peter cursed himself for imprisoning Strange in that mirror world and preventing the villains from being sent to his place. Peter was a kind man, but now the thought that he was willing to trade all their lives to save Mei was getting stronger and stronger in his mind.

-It's bad, lad. She's got two lacerations from the glider blades and most likely serious spinal damage, and to be honest I don't know how she got up. Well, I can do some things, but it's up to the doctors. Get away from her, you're in the way, and you Mei better keep quiet, then you'll tell me about the power and responsibility. - Said Pierce, looking into the surprised eyes of the woman who had closed her mouth. Raising his hands over the wounded body Raine concentrated and began to accumulate energy of space, a dozen seconds later when in front of him formed already familiar to Parker magical rune circles glowing blue light he released them in the direction of the woman. Once inside Mei, the spell began its work and put the woman to sleep, putting her body into stasis.

-What did you do?! - Parker asked as he flew over to his aunt and began to examine her body.

-Slowed down time for her ten times. So instead of a few minutes, we got a couple of hours to live. Where is the hospital for people like you? - Pierce asked, pulling a double ring from his pocket.

-What kind? - Parker, who hadn't fully recovered yet, didn't understand.

-Well, for superheroes or Avengers, I don't care what it's called, if it's in New York, I can get us there. - Replied the irritated Pierce watching the not at all friendly armed group gathering in front of the building.

-There isn't one. - Replied Peter.

-"So Tony left you a fucking station with combat drones powerful enough to overthrow an average African country, but he didn't create a place where you and the other Avengers can mend your wounds?! Stark here lost half his brain after the snap? Okay, well, let's go to the standard one. Take Mae and let's go! - Pierce gave the order and then directed a new circle at Parker, changed his face and applied a simple illusion of normal clothes. Twisting his hand Pierce opened a portal to one of the elite hospitals of the city, where he remembered many criminal authorities of the city were improving their health. Often gangster bosses needed to be treated by uncommunicative doctors without losing touch with their organisation. The place was something like a peaceful zone because it was favourable for everyone to have a normal hospital where you could get help and not have to wait for an assassination attempt. There was a rule here that breaking it denied the offender access to doctors, and the skills and techniques here were the best of the best.

The staff was surprised to see me and Parker, but just like in my world, they quickly pulled themselves together and just as I realised from the sound, they pressed the high alert button of the security systems inside the hospital with their foot just in case. If I or Peter were to behave inappropriately or aggressively, some pretty lethal firearms would come out of the neighbouring walls and open fire. Since sometimes they were not in the most adequate states of mind, the weapons had three firing options, tasers, darts and bullets. Everyone here was ready to be introduced to the most "pleasant" projectile for him at that moment. I learnt about this hospital while travelling with the team, Schultz told me about this place when he found out where I was from. These walls have hosted many supervillains, and although Spidey hasn't met all of his "friends" yet, New York was full of enemies of other extraordinary personalities, so this place has welcomed many strange guests and we are not out of the picture.

-Level five damage, triple pay! - Pierce said quickly, grabbing the Goblin hanging on his shoulder.

-I see. O.R. 3 is now available, you'll be escorted in. - Quickly said the woman, checking the monitor and pointing to a man with a gurney. Parker gently placed Mei's unconscious body on the gurney and followed the man.

-Damage? - The man asked as he rolled the gurney down the corridor.

-Lacerations, spinal damage, and most likely her stomach was punctured. - Pierce answered.

-Something special about the patient that the doctors should know? -Anything special about the patient? - Asked the man.

-I've frozen time around her body, so the body reactions you'll observe may be... unorthodox. - Answered Ryan.

-Something new, okay, you can't go any further. What about him? - Nodding at the stump of the bleeding wound, Doc asked.

-He doesn't need any help, he's earned his injuries. - Pierce replied coldly.

-Only...

-I know the rules doc, as long as we're here he'll live. - Pierce interrupted the man's warning.

-Okay. - The doctor glared at Raina, convinced of something to himself, and rolled the gurney into the operating theatre.

-There's nothing to do but wait. - Said Ryan.

-Who are you? - After a couple of minutes of useless wandering in the corridor Parker collected his thoughts and asked a question.

-Rain Pierce, nice to meet you, not my Peter Parker. - Holding out his hand to Parker said hello to Ryan.

-Me too. - Shaking his hand replied Peter.

-So what, explain what's going on here? - Asked Ryan.

-Ah, yes, yes, yes now. You know, you're the second alien from another world who doesn't try to kill me when you meet me. - Ruffling his hair and smiling nervously, Peter said.

-Well, it's not night yet lad. - With a fangy half-smile said Ryan.

-Ha-ha-ha, okay you should see yourself from the outside, it was a joke. Has anyone ever told you that you're too jumpy for an assassin with plans to take over the world? - Laughing, Pierce said, trying to distract the guy from glancing at the door every second.

-No, and I was able to prove I was innocent! - Parker answered a little more aggressively than he wanted to.

-"Calm down, I believe you. So what about the reason for my unplanned holiday in another world? - Reconciliatory raised his hand to the level of his chest asked Pierce.

-It all started when Mysterio...
