After receiving first aid in the quinjet, I was already standing on the bridge of the Heliker when we got Loki to his new room. Since my memories didn't tell me anything important was going to happen next, I was looking for a way to pass the time and a good idea came to mind.

-Sir, would you allow me to psychologically pump the prisoner? -Sir. - Pierce has my attention.

-And what do you intend to do, Agent? -And what do you intend to do? - Raising his right eyebrow, Fury asked.

-Read him a couple of books. - Pierce smiled enigmatically.

Ten minutes later, a chair appeared in front of Loki's cell, with a book in his hand.

-Why have you come, mortal? - The god of deceit asked with a grin as he looked at his guest.

-Oh, this mortal only wanted to tell what the wretched earthlings know of Loki's great deeds. - Pierce said with as much sarcasm as possible.

-Well, let's get started. After the honey of poetry was stolen, the giants became hostile to any visitors, especially those from Asgard, so that they stopped going there altogether. But Loki liked to do things differently from the others. One day he wanted to see the life of giants, so he went to Jotunheim, the land of giants.

...

And he knocked on the door of the house where the giantess Angbroda lived. She was so ugly, wicked and sullen that none of her tribesmen were attracted to her, so she lived all alone, expecting no change in her life.

...

Finally the giantess became pregnant, and then gave birth to two of Loki's children. They were small monsters: a wolf cub and a serpent. - Under Loki's increasingly reddened face, Pierce continued reading.

-I will burn everyone responsible for these books. - The God of Treachery said angrily.

-Well, there's more to come. Now let's hear about your other child, Sleipnir. - Said Pierce with an even nastier smile.

At the same time, in a separate office where Thor, Captain, Romanoff and Stark were seated, a screen showing the events taking place was on.

-And if none of this is true, then who told the stories? - Stark asked with interest, suppressing a new laugh.

-Maybe too much fantasising warriors after drinking invented stories defaming the gods they didn't want. - Romanoff suggested, noting the rather unorthodox way of making a god mad.

At the same time, Thor, who was sitting a little away from everyone, was extremely tense, trying not to show his understanding of the situation and recognising the stories.

"Well, who knew that those merry mortals would take my words so seriously and even write them down on paper?" thought the god of thunder and noticing the rather strange look of the fire-haired woman directed all his divine powers to his facial muscles.

Having finished raising my mood and equally opposite to lowering it at Loki I put the remaining two books on the chair with a clean soul and having promised to come back to him to read I left the prince of Asgard. I headed towards the lab that had been allocated to Bener and later partially occupied by Stark. I had to repair the damage done in the fight with Thor somewhere. I went inside just as Cap was having a famous argument with Tony Stark, a playboy, billionaire, philanthropist, and just a nice man. Although he was pleasant only to his close friends, with strangers he often behaved like a pig and confirmed his titles of drunkard and debauchee.

-You're not the kind of man who would make a sacrifice, lie down on the barbed wire and let a friend go through you. - Looking sullenly at Stark, the cap said.

-Captain, but that's silly, why not cut the wire or throw your clothes on it? - At Stark's approving look, Pierce turned Rogers' attention back to himself. -It's like standing in the open and seeing a grenade without a pin instead of kicking it with your body. - Pierce finished speaking under Steve's rather strange glance.

While the argument between the two team leaders continued, I quietly cast an illusion over my location and walked over to Loki's staff on the other side of the table so as not to hurt Bruce in any way. As I approached the staff, I brought a small container the size of the tip of my little finger to the mind stone's vault and pressed a single button on it and leaned it against the stone. None of the scientists noticed the millisecond burst of data on the screen above the staff, and I was able to return to the place of my illusion, pocketing the container, which took all the vibranium I had left and a month of painstaking effort. It's almost impossible to create something that can hold even a fraction of the power of the Infinity Stone. But vibranium works wonders, its adaptability is shocking. Even in my past life, sitting in a cinema, I was able to appreciate the power of this metal capable of surviving full use throughout the universe and destroying a small alien army on top of that. After all, Nidavellir's creation was almost completely unusable after the click.

-Bruce, is this screen supposed to flash like that? - Natasha asked, turning her attention to one of the monitors for a second.

-It's very bad... -Bruce didn't have time to finish his answer, but there was an explosion under the lab, scattering everyone in the room to the corners. Tony and Steve flew towards the exit. Fury and Pierce were slammed into the wall, while Romanoff and Benner smashed through the glass and fell to the lower level.

-Sir are you all right? - Pierce got to his feet and held out his hand to Nikolas.

-I've had worse. Hil? - Fury replied and immediately contacted Agent Hill for a situation report.

-The third engine's been hit, I'm needed on the bridge. -You take care of Mr Benner. We don't want any more trouble. - Fury was quick to issue a directive as he left the lab.

Here we go, and I've got the worst assignment ever. Well, as they say, if you want to live your life, you've got to make it work. Where are my spare points?

You have passed a new bar of superhuman strength. Your dexterity has exceeded 500 units. For overcoming a new obstacle, you receive the skill "acceleration". It allows you to become one and a half times faster for ten seconds.

Task received

"Lady in Trouble."

Since arriving at the Heliker, Bruce had become increasingly irritated. He couldn't help but think back to the agent who had forced him to come here. His slowly accumulating irritation had been fuelled by the contact with the mind stone and had crossed the acceptable threshold. Bruce Banner is now trying his best to contain his alter ego, which has fully internalised the discontent of the base and is extremely eager to wipe out the irritant, which to his own misfortune has landed a couple of metres away from the almost-appearing Hulk. Save Miss Romanoff and prevent the green giant from destroying more than $100,000,000,000 worth of shield property.

Reward: 30 S.O.; improved relationship with superiors; improved relationship with team; improved relationship with Miss Romanoff; one random item ticket and one Hulk calming ticket.

Punishment for failure: death of Miss Romanoff; expulsion from the Avengers initiative; death.

With a stretch and a sigh, Pierce jumped down just in time to fully turn into the Hulk. Funnily enough, the technical level of the shield made his strongest form the most useless for the task at hand. Too much height increase would make it impossible to move nimbly through the tangle of pipes and would do more harm than good.

-Are you okay? - Raine asked, picking up a broken piece of pipe from Natasha's leg.

-Tolerable, we have to run. - Said Romanoff just as the furious gamma mutant appeared.

-I agree. Oh, bear! - Shouted Pierce pointing behind the back of the Hulk and while the green giant turned round in search of the animal picked Natasha up in his arms and rushed in the opposite direction.

-What was that just now? - The spyess asked in bewilderment, not resenting her position. During the time she had been working for the Shield, she had long ago realised that even the serum injected into her in the red room had not elevated her to the level of an average mutant.

-A rather effective escape route, as we've just discovered. - Pierce said with a slight thrill of excitement that his plan was working. Rain had already fallen in love with the new skill, which allowed him to initially use the time gap and increased agility to break the distance from the Hulk with complete ease.

At least he thought so until a growl of resentment and rage sounded from behind him. After that, the Hulk began to rapidly close the distance between them, knocking down all the obstacles he encountered with his carcass.

When he reached his victims, the green giant struck several blows that went into the void of the room. Rain only had time to dodge, springing from the walls, floor and sometimes even from the air, creating platforms beneath him, hoping that Natasha would ignore this extremely dynamic attraction. Because of his burden Pierce's mobility was severely affected and not much free space did not add to his chances of a successful outcome of the mission.

Saving his and Natasha's bodies from another fierce attack Pierce remembered that somewhere further away there must be a passage to a hangar with fighters, where he could turn around and his and Romanoff's lives would no longer hang in the balance.

-Look, ha, do you know which direction has the most open space? - Pierce asked, even surprised at his breathlessness.

-I don't even know where we are right now. - With excitement spoke the spy.

-And from where we fell? - Dodging the Hulk's grip and pushing off the air again asked Pierce.

-About 200 metres forward and to the right. - Natasha replied, clutching at Pierce's arms as the giant swung again.

-Then forward. - Raine replied, then used his recharged acceleration again and, pushing off the now non-functioning pipe, flew over the Hulk's head.

Little did Pierce realise how much he wanted to use the skill to distract the gamma monster again, but his busy hands only made him check his grip again and run forward, overcoming all the obstacles in his way.

Arriving at the hangar Rain simply punched a light sheet of metal with his foot and figuring he had no more than a dozen seconds before the Hulk arrived he lowered Romanoff to the hangar floor.

-I'll try to distract him, and you get Thor. -Said Rain and after receiving a nod began to prepare a stealth attack on the Hulk. In the heat of battle the use of any magic other than the simplest constructs was unrealistic, but having at least five or six seconds to form the basis for illusion magic Pierce had a chance.

-Form faster! - Even though he realised that it was useless, Pierce still said to himself. Then, with a quick glance at the hangar, a few drops of sweat formed on his forehead. -Five Advanced Fighters, each for 40,000,000 minimum, here's the sra.... - Rain didn't get a chance to finish his sentence before the angry Hulk burst into the hangar.

Instantly silent and using all available forces, literally feeling his reserve dwindling at an insane rate and his energy channels on fire, Rain created a copy of the battle for the Hulk, making the giant swing his fists into the void and slowly walking backwards gradually bringing the giant to the giant full-wall glass window. Pierce was only a couple of steps away from making the Hulk leave the Heliker in peace, but his plans were fated to fail. A fighter jet appeared behind Ryan and fired at the Hulk, damaging the illusion and forcing the giant to launch an attack that Ryan, who had been concentrating on maintaining the illusion, was unable to avoid and suffered multiple fractures and survived only because of the defences covering his bones as he flew towards the ground.
