As they reached the end of the alley, the air grew still. The dim glow of lanterns barely reached this far, casting long shadows against the cold stone walls. The distant hum of the city seemed far away now, leaving only an eerie silence between the three figures standing in the darkness. There were no witnesses here. No interruptions.
Vaelion stopped, turning to face Espada and Rhaelon with a composed yet predatory stance. His hood cast a shadow over his sharp, calculating eyes. He folded his arms, tilting his head slightly. "I'll ask one more time, Espada. Where is Mahikan? The boy."
Espada narrowed her eyes, arms crossed as she met his gaze. "You'll have to beat that information out of me first."
A smirk flickered across Vaelion's face before he disappeared in an instant. In a blink, he was inches from Espada, his hand reaching for her face like a viper striking its prey.
