"By the way! Ethan, our Uchiha pharmacy will open tomorrow," Uchiha Sarah announced abruptly.
She then added, "For the next period, Ethan, you should refine more medicine every day! It's going to be tough on you!"
Uchiha Sarah paused, then spoke again, "Okay! I've taken note of that!"
Ethan nodded in agreement. With a bright smile, he said, "Oh! By the way, I forgot to mention—the favorability of the captured ninja eagle has reached the required standard, and I've contracted it!"
He continued, "I will release it into the space-time gate space and grant you the authority to communicate with it, so you can summon it whenever needed in the future!"
"It's even better to make a Summoning contract," Ethan added, "since that's more convenient and can also conceal it from prying eyes."
As he spoke, Ethan thoughtfully assigned the relevant authority to Uchiha Sarah and Mikoto.
This impressive ninja eagle had arrived a few days ago. Over these days, Ethan had been feeding it daily to boost its favorability—and now, it had finally reached the threshold.
The ninja eagle was magnificent, boasting a wingspan of 15 meters—comparable to a small airplane. With Jōnin-level Chakra and powerful Wind Style abilities, it was extraordinarily fast. At its peak, it could break the speed of sound, exceeding 400 meters per second. Truly terrifying!
Of course, such speed meant that when riding it, you couldn't carry too many people, and the rider needed to be resilient enough to withstand the impact and fierce wind.
"Okay! There's a blank Summoning scroll at home," Ethan said confidently. "I'll use it later to bind the Ninja Eagle, and then each of us can sign our name on a contract!"
Uchiha Sarah nodded in agreement. "With this Ninja Eagle, opening the map next will be so much more convenient," she remarked.
She continued, "Next, Mom will spend some time each day running the map."
Then she added reassuringly, "Ethan, just wait without worry! I'll notify you when it's time to set out together!"
Clearly worried about Ethan going out to sea alone, she made sure he felt secure.
"Okay!" Ethan replied, clearly moved by Uchiha Sarah's concern. He couldn't possibly refuse such care.
After dinner, Uchiha Sarah immediately retrieved a blank Summoning scroll. Together with Ethan and Mikoto, she entered the space-time gate and completed the contract with the Shinobi Hawk. Once everything was finalized, they returned home.
Meanwhile, in the Senju tribe, as soon as Kushina returned home, she excitedly told Uzumaki Mito that she was going to attend school using a Shadow Clone. At the same time, she mentioned her hope of receiving Uzumaki Mito's teaching on sealing techniques alongside Ethan.
"Oh?" Uzumaki Mito raised his eyebrows in surprise. "It seems that the relationship between our Kushina and Ethan is getting better and better!"
One voice teased, "You even want to study together! Are you in love with him?"
At that, Nawaki—who had returned long ago—and Tsunade, who had just arrived, all shot Kushina a look filled with the teasing color of Eight Trigrams.
"Oh! Grandma!" Kushina exclaimed, her pretty face flushing immediately as she puffed her cheeks in protest, "No!"
Inside, however, she wondered, "Is it really like that?" She hadn't considered it before—initially, she only got in touch with Ethan because of instructions from Mikoto and Uzumaki Mito.
Later that day, the atmosphere lightened as Kushina, Minato, and Ethan spent more time together. Minato, despite sometimes being a bit sissy in Kushina's eyes, was a good friend. His pure-hearted nature had clearly boosted Ethan's favorability, and though Ethan felt a little flustered by this surge, he was pleased with the progress.
"Come on, come with me to my house first! I'll teach you the Shadow Clone Technique, and then we can discuss other things," Ethan said confidently.
Turning to Kushina, he added, "Then Kushina, we'll say our goodbyes here today!"
"Ask Lord Mito first! If it doesn't work out, don't force it!" Kushina replied with a playful tone.
"Yeah! Go ahead!" Ethan confirmed.
Kushina nodded, waved cheerfully, and left quickly.
"Let's go too!" Ethan patted Minato's shoulder and called him along as they headed back to the Uchiha compound.
Along the way, several clan members looked at Ethan and Minato with curiosity.
"Is Ethan back? And who's this friend with him?" someone asked.
"Yes! Uncle Shi Yu, how's business today?" Ethan greeted warmly.
"It's all good! I'll finish up today. Tomorrow, our family's pharmacy opens, and I have to help run it," replied Uchiha Shiyu, his eyes bright with anticipation. He already knew the potential of the new medicines the family was planning to sell. With the recent expensive reforms—upgrading clan schools, elite guards, and a new reward and punishment system—the clan needed every bit of income they could get.
"Oh? The pharmacy is opening? That's great news!" another member exclaimed.
Ethan's eyes lit up as he thought, "These days, I've been spending only two hours a day making medicines, leaving plenty of time for training. It seems I'll need to produce even more medicine soon, or there won't be enough to sell!"
Deep in thought, Ethan considered delegating the production—but no trustworthy candidate was available. Many of the medicines required Sea Kings' meat or a higher grade of pharmaceutical material. "We must train a group of qualified pharmacists soon—or set up a proper production line!" he resolved silently.
Later, Ethan took Minato to the small training ground in his backyard. There, he began teaching Minato the Shadow Clone Technique, explaining the practice method in detail before demonstrating it step by step. Soon enough, Minato successfully formed his first Shadow Clone.
"Good! I really didn't make a mistake!" Ethan cheered, giving Minato a thumbs up.
"Hehe! No way! You taught me so well!" Minato said, touching the back of his head with a shy smile.
"Keep practicing until you truly master it, and that will be all for today's lesson," Ethan instructed, raising his hand to signal the end of the session.
"Okay!" Minato replied, releasing his Shadow Clone and practicing several more times until his movements became smooth and natural.
"That's enough for now! You can intensify your practice later," Ethan said. "Regarding group training, I'll arrange something once Kushina's affairs are settled tomorrow. For now, I'll take you home."
"Okay!" Minato nodded, and after being dropped off, he called back, "Goodbye, Ethan! And thank you!" before running off happily.
Ethan smiled softly, thinking, "This kid!" Then, with his hands tucked into his trouser pockets, he strolled back home.
Once home, Ethan performed a series of seals to split himself into three Shadow Clones. One clone was sent to study sealing techniques, another to practice Chakra control and seals, and the third to train in ninjutsu. Meanwhile, his original body was teleported to the pirate world, where he joined Mikoto in a lively sparring session—practicing observation Haki and attempting to awaken it.
He recalled that Uchiha Sarah had noted that to awaken Haki, one must be in the pirate world—conditions simply aren't right in the ninja world. Ethan mused that this must be due to the differing rules between the worlds. Once awakened, however, one could return to the ninja world to further hone the skill. The training method was simple: throw snowballs at each other, accompanied by rapid "swish, swish, swish!" sounds. Soon, the room was filled with the echoing sounds of snowballs breaking the air and occasional cries of pain.
Kureha, watching from inside, frowned and shook her head helplessly. "What sin did I commit to have these two under my care?" she mused, exasperated yet affectionate.
As the pace of their playful training quickened, both Ethan and Mikoto became completely absorbed in the challenge, their laughter and shouts blending with the rhythmic sounds of their practice.
Later that evening, after school ended, Ethan gathered his friends. "Kushina, Minato, I've mastered everything the school offers. The lessons are no longer challenging for me. So, from now on, I'll send a Shadow Clone to attend classes while I focus on practice on my own. I'll catch up with you later!"
Kushina listened, glanced at Minato, and agreed wholeheartedly. Though she sometimes found Minato a bit sissy, they were friends after all—and it was only right to look out for each other. "I don't mind!" she declared with a playful glimmer in her eyes.
Minato, clearly touched, looked at Ethan with gratitude. He hadn't expected that Ethan—a child from such a prominent family—would be so humble and willing to be friends with him. Deep inside, Minato felt a warm glow and silently vowed that Ethan would always be his best friend.
Ethan noticed with pleasant surprise that Minato's favorability toward him had surged even higher. "Wow, so high already! Can't we sign a contract right now?" he teased.
"No, we haven't known each other long enough," Ethan replied with a laugh. "It would be too utilitarian to rush into a contract. Let's wait a few more days until I've passed on the Shadow Clone Technique and some ninjutsu from Rear Admiral. We need to consolidate our goodwill first."
Minato nodded eagerly, and the two friends made plans to meet later for more training.
Ethan felt a little flustered by this surge in favorability, but he was happy their friendship was blossoming. "We're friends, aren't we? Let's work together and grow stronger!" he affirmed.
After exchanging final goodbyes, Ethan patted Minato's shoulder and led him home. Along the way, several clan members greeted them with curious remarks about Ethan's return and his new friendship with Minato. The corridors buzzed with conversation, and Ethan even exchanged a few words with Uncle Shi Yu about the upcoming opening of the family pharmacy. Ethan noted that his mother had been busy organizing medicine production—clear signs that the family business was moving quickly.
Later, as evening set in, Uchiha Sarah addressed Ethan with a new announcement. "By the way! Ethan, our Uchiha pharmacy will open tomorrow," she said, her tone brisk.
She continued, "For the next period, Ethan, you need to refine more medicine every day—it's going to be hard for you!"
"Okay! I've taken note," Ethan replied, nodding earnestly.
Then, with a spark in his eyes, he added, "Oh! I almost forgot—I've managed to contract the captured ninja eagle! Its favorability has reached the required standard."
He explained, "I will release it into the space-time gate space and grant the necessary authority. This means you can communicate with it to summon it anytime in the future!"
"It's even better to make a Summoning contract," Ethan noted. "That way, it's more convenient and keeps it hidden from prying eyes."
Thinking it over, Ethan then granted the relevant authority to Uchiha Sarah and Mikoto.
This magnificent ninja eagle had arrived a few days ago, and over those days, Ethan had diligently fed it to boost its favorability. Now, it had finally reached the required standard. The eagle boasted a 15-meter wingspan—like a small airplane—and, with Jōnin-level Chakra and Wind Style abilities, it was extremely fast. It could even break the sound barrier, reaching speeds of over 400 meters per second—truly terrifying!
Of course, such speed meant that when riding, it couldn't carry too many people, and the rider had to be strong enough to withstand the force and wind.
"Okay! There's a blank Summoning scroll at home," Ethan said confidently. "I'll use it to bind the Ninja Eagle later, and then each of us can sign our own contract!"
Uchiha Sarah nodded in agreement. "With this Ninja Eagle, it'll be much easier to open the map next," she remarked.
She added, "Next, Mom will spend some time every day running the map. Ethan, just wait patiently—I'll notify you when it's time to set out together. I'm worried about letting you go out to sea alone."
"Okay!" Ethan replied, clearly moved by Sarah's concern.
After dinner, Uchiha Sarah immediately took out a blank Summoning scroll. She then entered the space-time gate with Ethan and Mikoto, completed the contract with the Shinobi Hawk, and returned home.
Later, in the Senju tribe, as soon as Kushina returned, she excitedly told Uzumaki Mito that she planned to go to school using a Shadow Clone. At the same time, she mentioned that she hoped to receive Uzumaki Mito's teaching on sealing techniques alongside Ethan.
"Oh?" Uzumaki Mito raised his eyebrows in surprise. "It seems that the relationship between our Kushina and Ethan is getting better and better!"
One teasing voice asked, "You even want to study together! Are you in love with him?"
Immediately, Nawaki—who had returned earlier—and Tsunade, who had just arrived, shot Kushina playful, teasing looks, their expressions reminiscent of the Eight Trigrams.
"Oh! Grandma!" Kushina exclaimed, her pretty face flushing immediately as she pouted and argued, "No!" In her heart, she wondered, "Is it really like that?" Initially, she had only contacted Ethan due to instructions from Mikoto and Uzumaki Mito.
