Chapter 110 - Chapter 110

Luke looked at the group of short legs around him, then thought about Spider-Man, Christina, Skye, and Crystal...

He had a sudden inspiration.

"It's decided! Let's call it the Hero Alliance!" Luke snapped his fingers, finalizing it.

It was faithful, expressive, and elegant—super appropriate and full of artistic conception, wasn't it?

Whenever Luke thought about how anyone would cry out in frustration whenever they mentioned the name of their organization, he felt it was worth it!

Rossana: "The Hero Alliance?"

Esmeralda: "Well… that's very deceptive."

Anusika: "The General's naming standards have never changed."

Olivia: "Hmm… Hmm…"

The next day at school, Luke informed Spider-Man that the group had officially been formed.

"Only females? Man, what about me..."

"Don't worry, you're already a member of the organization." Luke smiled, patting Peter Parker on the shoulder.

"…?"

For the first time in his life, Peter Parker was hesitant about his gender.

After school in the afternoon, Luke brought a large group of organization members to the warehouse to inspect the construction site.

The construction quality of S.H.I.E.L.D. was impeccable. With money and power, they had hired a famous New York construction team and used the best building materials on the market.

The progress was flawless. In just a few days, the reinforced concrete structure of the warehouse had been completed.

Perhaps considering that this was Luke's warehouse—and Luke's inherent explosive tendencies—Nick Fury specifically ordered his agents to build it according to the standards of resisting a magnitude 7 earthquake. If anyone dared to cut corners, they wouldn't have a job when they returned. Instead, they'd be sent to Siberia to go bear-hunting.

Standing at the construction site and looking at the warehouse that was about to be covered, Luke was very satisfied with Nick Fury's arrangements.

The snowman Christina came running over with her short legs, bringing him milk.

Luke usually needed three cups of milk—morning, noon, and night. Considering that he had learned two more awakening skills this time, he asked Christina to give him two more.

That should barely be enough to maintain his physical energy consumption.

Otherwise, sometimes he would finish a meal, step outside, and his stomach would start growling again after only a few steps.

For this reason, he envied cultivators. But unfortunately, he didn't have that kind of luck. Other people traveled through time and space to cultivate to the Nascent Soul stage, while he had almost traveled through time and space to become a baby. It was already good enough that he made it this far.

Hawkeye was drinking afternoon tea leisurely in his treehouse. When he saw the short legs, he couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of tea.

Hawkeye rubbed his eyes and counted. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven...

What the hell? Where did all these kids come from?

A while ago, he thought the number of brats was already overwhelming. He had witnessed them wreaking havoc on the warehouse across from him. But today? The number had doubled...

Hawkeye thought about this and decided he should report it to Nick Fury.

Just then, he received a call.

"What? Transfer me back? Another mission? Alright, sir."

After hanging up, Hawkeye looked at Luke and the others near the construction site, then turned back to his warm, cozy treehouse.

He felt a little reluctant to leave.

Back at S.H.I.E.L.D., Hawkeye submitted his summary report on his two-month surveillance mission.

At the end, he mentioned the seven children, which immediately caught Nick Fury's attention.

At this point, the files on the Apostles had been downgraded from top-secret level 10 to top-secret level 9. But since this was about Luke, Nick Fury didn't dare to be careless. He immediately ordered an investigation.

The results were shocking.

There were no records of these four children. S.H.I.E.L.D. had no way of identifying the four Black Roses.

No file photos, no home addresses, no names. There wasn't even a trace of them in any video records from more than 12 hours ago.

It was as if they had suddenly appeared out of thin air just 12 hours earlier.

"That's ridiculous." Nick Fury was indignant at his subordinates' incompetence. With the resources and technology at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s disposal, they couldn't figure out the origins of four children? Did they fall from the sky?

"More and more people have been appearing around Luke lately," Black Widow remarked quietly.

She had been keeping an eye on Luke. Recently, she had been in close contact with Hawkeye and learned that the number of strangers around Luke had exploded. And they were all kids.

She had investigated Crystal a while ago. Unfortunately, apart from some minor clues, she found no hard evidence.

At least Crystal had a traceable presence—she had suddenly appeared on the street with a strange dog, then disappeared just as suddenly. That alone proved she wasn't an ordinary person.

But these four new children? Their identities were completely unknown. That concerned Black Widow.

She worried that these brats would lead Luke astray.

She hadn't even realized that she had been getting distracted during work lately. Luke's voice and smile constantly popped into her mind. She often wondered what he was doing, whether he still hated her…

Classic stepmother syndrome.

Nick Fury, however, thought even further.

He had always suspected that there was a secret organization behind Luke. Otherwise, where did all these different kinds of people keep coming from?

That super-powered dog left a strong impression on him.

Nick Fury always thought he was well-informed, but every time he investigated Luke, he came up empty. No matter how he looked, it was a dead end.

"How many secrets does this little brat have?" Nick Fury sighed, rubbing his smooth, reflective forehead.

"Only those who possess the power of Holy Light can control the Pearl of Apocalypse!"

In his bedroom, Luke sat on his bed, speaking what sounded like a child's fantasy.

But it was a fact, written clearly in the design plans.

He was preparing for a massive project—an artificial sun, expected to cost $3 billion.

If it were just a regular artificial sun, that wouldn't be a big deal. With the advancement of human technology, humanity would be able to achieve it sooner or later.

But this sun was different.

All friendly creatures under its light would constantly heal and experience a boost in their bodily functions.

This immediately made Luke think of one word: Kryptonian.

A race that could turn into supermen just by basking in the sun.

This was the Marvel world, so Kal-El wouldn't exist. But what he was doing might end up creating a whole population of Kal-Els.

Whether that was good or bad, Luke wasn't sure. From his perspective, turning all of New York into supermen wouldn't really hurt him. But it wouldn't benefit him either. And S.H.I.E.L.D. definitely wouldn't be happy about it.

"Thankfully, there's a restriction," Luke mused.

The concept of 'friendly creatures' was determined by the Holy Light within him. He could set it so that the boost only applied to himself.

Otherwise, the world would descend into chaos.

Luke sighed, feeling a bit of regret.

He held a pen, sketching out a blueprint. Strictly speaking, it should be called the "Standard Fusion Reactor Core Schematic."

The more advanced knowledge was hidden in his mind. This drawing was just a conceptual plan—enough for negotiations.

The cost started at $3 billion.

An astronomical figure for him at the moment.

There was no other choice but to seek sponsorship.
