Chapter 62 - Chapter - 59 Akron [1]

After much deliberation and debate, Both parties eventually came to a consensus.

The usage of a mana oath was utterly vital during this whole ordeal. It was a matter of assurance for both correspondents, If Edward were to fail to satisfy his part of the deal then he would die, if Melkith were to let's say insidiously kill or use her influence to smother Edward then she would suffer a backlash essentially cripping her for life.

For Edward this was closure.

Currently, Melkith was oblivious as to Edward's origin, and to be frank she honestly didn't care. With her influence within the Pentagon, she issued a false set of documents for Edward.

[Ready?] Glacias questioned to Melkith

Without a second thought, Melkith absentmindedly reached both arms behind her back to remove the garments clinging to her body.

Fortunately, Glacias caught wind of such an act and stopped Melkith from doing such an unreasonable thing.

[What are you doing?]

Confused by Glacias Melkith retorted

"I'm getting rid of my clothing to increase the success of our contract…" Melkith spoke furrowing her brows and scratching her chin

To her, she was doing the obvious.

Grimacing towards Melkith, Glacais palmed his face and began to express his discontent.

[Superstition? Melkith, please keep your garments on, such superstitions hold no actual practical value… they are merely foolish grandures produced by perverted and naive individuals, and to be honest us spirits despise such vulgar scenes, and it surprised me that the two Spirit kings you've contracted with haven't pointed out such things?] Glacais spoke as he gazed toward the primordial presences that clouded the air

During the whole ordeal, Edward resumed his normal apathetic attitude and lost interest in this meaningless task, so rather than waiting bored Feigning interest in this nuance of a process.

Edward merely zoned out opting to stare towards the ceiling's Tapestry.

'If I were to increase my mussel density further by weaving both frost essence with Spiritual essence, would that increase my body's peak performance during battle…' these were the ponderings that Edward's mind was preoccupied with as Melkith and Glacias both contracted with one another.

Soon the whole process was finalized.

"Edward?" Melkith spoke baffled

"As I said" Edward spoke

"...That explains much…" Melkith spoke as she leaned further into her finely crafted chair.

Releasing a chuckle Melkith placed her hand on her face pinching her brow.

"Eugene and now you huh?.."

"... Imagine the stir this will cause within the world." Melktih expressed with a sigh

As a Tower master Melkith had of course heard of the Lionheart descendants

Especially Edward and Eugene. Half a decade prior, the human domain was thrown into a stir with the arrival of an unparalleled genius.

This was, of course, Edward.

Five years ago, Edward was known as the reaper, a bloodthirsty youth who sought nothing but power.

He was notorious for his brutal finishes with sparring partners or for those he dueled.

Most were left on the verge of death, others with a lost appendage, and the lucky few who overpowered Edward were left scared internally their pride especially shattered.

In one such scenario that youth massacred hundreds of barbarians within the Samar forest, normally this type of nomenclature would result in praises from all congratulations and awards would funnel in but….

What Edward did during his time within the semar forest was unnecessary,

Without any clear purpose, he ventured into the vast woodland, a merciless landscape where barbarians were viewed as inferior scum and stains on the human race. For years, the Kiehl Empire, which bordered this region, had attempted to conquer the land and scourge the jungle of its natural resources.

Unfortunately, each of their attempts was thwarted by the powerful barbarians, who united in times of crisis to drive away their foes.

That was until Edward came along…

At 13, Edward adorned himself in a fine black robe which completemented with small stature at the time. In his hand, he held a black rapier with an abyssal black blade, this sword of his would act as the reaper's scythe in what was to come.

Edward entered the judge and soon days of carnage and ruthless violence took place within the jungle blood spilled from vain gore covered his surroundings. Any place he walked through would become a scene from hell. Eventually, he exited from the jungle with a jubilant grin and a body riddled with deep lacerations.

A pungent smell of iron followed his every move.

They say he appeared almost lifeless, yet his face revealed a mixture of joy and other emotions.

However, all of this information was disregarded by the Kiehl Empire, which stated that "there was not enough evidence to support such an allegation."

The same monstrous talent who had vanished five years ago now stood before me, and I had made a deal with him.

Funneling an immense surplus of spiritual essence into her eyes, Melkith examined every feature of the youth before her, both externally and internally.

Indeed, his mana pathways were identical to Eugene's; it was the White Flame formula. There was no doubt behind it, or was it?

Melkith began to feel disoriented as a powerful migraine throbbed in her mind. It didn't make sense! 'Such a thing had only happened once before!' Melkith bellowed internally in confusion.

With all of her will, Melkith wanted to reject such an idea it was just genuinely preposterous … but she was not delirious, rejecting what was before her was pointless.

'... I've only ever felt this way with Witchcraft…'

It was one of the countless legacies the Wise Sienna left for the magic world, but out of this countless list only which craft is truly revered.

The perfect form of magic, her grimoire, existence was sprawled forth by the 'Wise Sienna' after decades of cumulative research.

It is believed that witchcraft is the path to reaching the legendary 10th realm or circle—a goal so elusive that no one in recorded history has ever achieved it!

Over the past two centuries, countless powerful wizards and witches have bravely taken on the challenge of deciphering this intricate aspect of magical lore, yet none have succeeded in fully understanding it.

Grasping her head, Melkith cast a complex spell within her cerebral cortex to calm the throbbing ache in her mind.

"Ughh," Melkith grumbled.

Even with the spell, Melkith still struggled to fully visualize Edward's body internally.

Trillions of mana pathways paved his body's flesh.

Complex formations of ice mana weaved his mussel tissue to such a tight point that it was surprising that their density had not shattered his bone and crippled Edward.

"I can see your…. the real Edward" Melkith spoke in an awkward tone.
