Munny - Sunny tugged a loose black shirt over his head and glanced at the time again.

"I'm gonna make some food," he said, rubbing his neck with the towel. "Rain should be here soon. We've got training today."

Nephis, now fully dressed, gave a small nod.

He moved toward the little kitchen in the corner.

He considerd a lot of things to make. His mind went into action, forming any random concoction he could make in his mind,

pausing only when he heard her sit heavily on the couch with a quiet sigh.

Sunny turned his head, eyebrows slightly raised. "What's wrong?"

Nephis didn't answer right away. Her silver eyes stared blankly ahead, like she was watching something only she could see.

He dried his hands and walked over, crouching in front of her so he could look up into her face. "Neph?"

Her eyes flicked to him, and a faint smile touched her lips. It looked… melancholic.

"Nothing's wrong," she murmured, though her tone didn't match the words. "Just… I don't know. I feel like everything's moving so fast lately."

Sunny tilted his head. "That's because it usually is."

She chuckled softly, but it faded quickly. "And yet… here I am, wasting time."

(that hurt me)

Sunny frowned. "You call this wasting time?"

He reached out, gently taking her hands into his. "This - being here together - isn't wasted. Not even close."

Her eyes shimmered just slightly, a flicker of emotion passing through them. "I don't want it to end."

"It won't," he said firmly. "Not as long as I'm breathing."

Nephis didn't speak again, but leaned forward, closing the distance between them until their foreheads touched.

Sunny let his eyes fall closed, resting his hands on her thighs.

Then, slowly, their lips met.

It started with a light touch, barely there. But then, her hands found his shoulders and pulled him in deeper.

Sunny responded in kind, kissing her with quiet urgency, like trying to say all the things he couldn't speak aloud.

The room fainted around them. Nothingness. A room of blurry images.

Time slowed.

Nothing existed but the warmth of her body, the familiar scent of her skin, the way she made him feel whole.

And then…

The door creaked open.

"…Sunny?" a familiar voice said, hesitation clear in the air.

Both froze.

Sunny slowly pulled away from Nephis, still inches from her lips, eyes wide. She blinked once, expression caught between mortification and cold neutrality.

He turned his head.

Standing awkwardly in the doorway, wearing a school outfit and holding a wooden katana, was Rain.

Her sharp eyes were wide, blinking as if trying to process what she just walked into.

Her face shifted rapidly from confusion to dawning horror.

He had walked into his teacher, making out with the Changing Star.

"I… I can come back later," she said stiffly, already starting to back out.

Sunny, still half tangled in Nephis' arms, let out the most painful sigh of his life. "Rain, wait-"

"No, no. It's fine," she muttered quickly, stepping out and closing the door behind her with a soft click.

A moment of absolute silence followed.

Sunny stared at the closed door. "…I'm gonna die."

Nephis, still flushed, let out a small laugh. "You might."

Sunny fell face-first onto her lap with a groan.
