Chapter 35 - The Monkeys And A Figure

"Bitter..." Skylar, lying on his back murmured, unknown liquid trickling onto his face, especially into his mouth that has become wet and filled with the certain liquid.

He briefly opened his eyes and when he did, he saw whiteness and felt the unknown liquid, disgusting as hell pour unto his face like it has been waiting for him to come around.

This smelly and bitter liquid overwhelmed his senses and suffocated him, and as a result he passed out once again, never getting to know the culprit at the other end responsible for this atrocity.

In front of an arena bordered by beautiful glowing flowers of diffetent kinds and colors and just a few steps from it on a large tree stump carved into a bench; A person's figure under the golden illumination of the region at that hour spectate two monkeys engaged in an activity on the large arena.

One of the monkeys is about four meters tall, has a handsome face with a bright golden fur that matches the rays of light kissing it. And the other, quiet a sorry case, has gray fur, is shorter than one and a half meters, gaunt, and is borderline very ugly with sparse hair on its head, a bald monkey.

"...Ugly monkeys, so slow and stupid. Can't even do the simplest of things." The figure on the bench jeered at the two, each holding a wooden staff as they spar under the cool golden rays peeking from the very low hangng golden cloud above them.

Truly their clashes were very slow, like two twelve year old suffering from eleventh grade syndrome display their symptom. The golden monkey will raised its wooden staff slowly and the other ugly one will take forever to dodge a hit coming for its head from the slowly descending staff the golden guy raised. Even sometimes when the ugly monkey like in slow motion struggles to block the extremely slow hit coming for it from the golden guy, it will always go down on its butt and sometimes on its back while smiling foolishly like it has reached the peak of life.

This developers are crazy, can't they try something else, why waste my precious time on stupid monkeys...

Probably tired, the figure on the bench proceed to lay on the bench sideways, with his eyes still on the play in the arena and muttered quietly after "Monkeys here are really stupid, acting like they are one super intelligent specie. Look at that ugly bastard, its even happy its getting trashed in a useless kid game..."

Before the evidently grumpy figure could continue further with his derision, a wooden staff flew from somewhere and landed standing on its smallest end just right in front of him, and like its peeking at him.

"What?" This figure questioned softly, looked at the wooden staff standing in front of him in confusion, then return his gaze to the arena, the place it came from.

"You want to fight?" The figure sat up frowned at the ugly bald monkey who has been looking at his direction with a scowl and an obvious exprerssion of anger directed at the detestable bastatd creature, the monkey thought so.

"Okay, i will be pleased to teach you the lesson of a lifetime." The figure stood up imperiously, walked towards the arena with the staff in hand, and jumped over a tall glowing flower plants- a distant specie of tulip, into the arena.

The figure petting the wooden staff first came face to face with the ugly bald monkey briefly and after that turned to the golden monkey at the side, on the edge of the arena.

"Do you agree with this", the golden monkey nodded affirmatively at him and then he returned his gaze to the ugly bald monkey that has been casting a grave look at him.

Imperiously he opened his mouth "If i injure you don't blame me, blame your elders for not telling you who you shouldn't ever challenge", imperiously he took his stance; he just stood there like an idiot admiring the earthly stars in the sky while hitting the palm of his other hand with the wooden staff.

And after the golden monkey, the fair observer gave the signal for the fight to begin, imperiously he instructed the smiling ugly bald monkey "come at me, i will allow you the first attack." And imperiously he watched the bald ugly monkey walked casually towards him with a somewhat slow and short steps.

But the moment his opponent reached right in front of him with a smile, he saw a wooden staff illuminated by the golden rays from the sky towered above his head he raised in reply and there he realised.

What's happening i can't move... What did he do...

... Has he been extremely fast all along or have my senses been deceiving me...

Candidly and precisely the wooden staff landed on his head; he couldn't even react, and there on the hard floor of the arena he passed out totally and ungracefully. He was humbled.

Under a large flower tree with glowing flowers- a distant relative of the maglolia, by a cliff side highlighted by the backdrop of the naked awe inspiring heavens; four monkeys of unique bearing sits in a square on a ground carpeted by white tiny grasses that reflect the faint light rays coming from the small gaps between the illuminating flourishing canopy of the tree.

They have in their center wooden wine jars, wooden wine cups- one each placed in front of them, and two large bowls containig probably a snack of monkey origin.

(Chatter "He has a unique way of expressing grief.") The weight of his recent loss in the past is just settling on him... what a pitiable trait of an intelligent creature... An old and wizened snow white monkey sitting with his back to the tree muttered and thought as he watched with fascination the waves generated by the wine in the wine cup he held close to his face.

(Chatter "Father he is just a lowly and ungrateful intruder, i suggest we throw him down the mountain before someone kill him in anger") how dare that thing profane my treasure... absolutely unforgivable... A clearly dissatisfied gray monkey to the left of the old monkey replied and after which he glanced at the face of the other two to catch their reaction.

Someone that fell ftom the heavens and easily pass through our barrier... If i didn't see it i would have never believed it... And he also happens to be one of those people... This is clearly not ordinary...

One of the other monkeys, a schorlarly and comparatively young monkey with a lustrous and pitch black fur sitting opposite the old white monkey, quitting his contemplation raised its lowered head and muttered to himself (Chatter "this creatures was either sent to us by the heavens or rather we say this eternal personage is here to honor us...")

(Chatter "So chief also saw it.") The old monkey interjected as he raised his head with a smile at the wise looking young monkey in front of him.

(Chatter "Grandfather please tell us what you saw?") The young monkey answered with a wise question that will answer the old monkey and at the same time, its answer may also clear his own doubts

I thought they also saw it, that raging blaze hidden in his cracked and damaged spirit root... i guess it was only revealed to me, what an honor... (Chatter "I say we destroy him.") The old monkey after he thought about it said softly in reply to the young monkey, and at this words the formerly dissatisfied gray monkey but now spotting a stern look smirked and smiled a bit, expressing his satisfaction.

Also both the young monkey and the last one: also with a gray fur in front of the stern monkey and a head taller than him, frowned, then both simultaneously looked at the old monkey's face. Hoping for an explanation.

The explanation did not come, but after a sip of the wine the old man corrected (Chatter "I mean we destroy his spirit")

And this time the young and wise monkey: the chief, gave a sigh of relief and the tall gray monkey still confused looked at the young monkey for clarification.

Then the young monkey turned to the confused gray monkey taller than then all (Chatter "Father, have you forgotten. Before we...")

(Chatter "Jaro") the old monkey interrupted the young monkey explaning to his father the tall monkey as he called with a low but heavy voice that seized everyone's attention.

And the old monkey continued, now with a softer and monotonous voice (Chatter "i will put you in charge.")

The stern gray monkey who became unhappy after he understood the old monkey's intention and at this instruction clearly directed at him made and maintained a poker face as he tried not to express a passionate dissatisfaction.

Indeed uncle Jaro is the best candidate for this operation... he clearly does not like him, maybe its because of his daughter... but i look forward to what we will witness after all this, if it happens to be what i think it is...

(Chatter "Jaro, do a great job.") The old monkey voice echoed once again under the breezy nightly sky.

And the four monkeys continue their night out, each harboring different thoughts.
