...
Skylar sat in a lotus position on his sophisticated well crafted bed looking at the holographic status screen in front of him after he just returned from the real world.
I should start taking things seriously. This world is not as simple as i have experience it so far, and If i am not careful i will get what i don't want and loose what's precious to me like i did those times...
After his careful thought and a reminder in his heart, and also after he put away his status window. He made his way to a room at one side of his large bedroom where he brought out a wooden jar of water.
The wooden house he stayed currently, was built in a circle round the tree trunk and on its enormous branches.
And the heart of the wooden house, his bedroom is a hollowed space inside the tree trunk.
Skylar with the jar out of his bedroom and into another room connected to it as the bedroom serve as a hub, came in front of a wooden washbasin and there he wash his body with the water in the jar.
And after washing, out of the wooden house and down the enormous tree he made himself quietly.
This guys are still here, or maybe they left and returned... In front of him after he reached the base of the tree, sat his two guest. He moved closer to them and acknowledge their presence with a nod.
"So, i should just carve anything out of this wood?" He asked while he stood in front of the large log the golden monkey brought.
And with an affirmative nod from the golden monkey he got his answer and begin a task not at all new to him.
...
(Pant, pant, pant...)
i can't hit this bastard no matter how hard i tried...
Under the bluemoon, the mystical keeper of time in this world, two figures which like children playing kung fu at a very close proximity both engage themselves in a bid to subdue the other.
Skylar has partaken in this ritual many times for many moons as he also carves from the extremely hard log he expected he would easily handle. But quiet and humble he became when he got handed the truth- carving the wood was never going to be easy and after many tries of sparring with his weakest opponent he couldn't even see himself land a hit on him.
I am pathetic, i can't even gain an advantage on a common monkey and there is someone in this world that has defeated a colossal tiger in just two hits...
Their figures entwined, suddenly separate as both jumped backwards, leaving a considerable distance between them.
"You are very strong" i wonder how much stronger the arrogant golden guy is...
Skylar looked to the side at their only spectator, the golden monkey.
The golden monkey while watching them sometimes will have is eyes closed like he is doing now as he sat in a lotus position under the tree while his towering visage is highlighted by the light of the blue moon that hangs on the backdrop of the celestial heavens after it has stolen all its glory.
That guy is absolutely very strong, i can feel his might clearly from here. At times like this Its like he is as tall as the heavens, is there really a possibility that i stand a chance against this guy... "Ah" i don't know... Skylar returned his extreme focus to his quiet opponent few steps away from him after the short breather he was allowed. He shut tightly his eyes this time.
no matter how much i trytoattack this guy's opening, its like he can anticipate it and at the last instance block my attacks. This bastard has not even try to take advantage of the gaps i leave when i throw my attacks that has been useless, its like he is guiding me to something. So frustrating... With his eyes tightly shut, he put under pressure his sixth sense, to do him the favor of telling him what to do, where and when. And this method he believes might help him bridge the invisible chasm between them.
I see something... He thought as his opponent pounced at him ...left and up... He squatted to the floor, barely dodging the ruthless wooden staff coming for his head and a split second after, he launched a slow sideward kick up at his opponent. But with quick reaction his opponent rose midair by jumping, barely avoiding the kick that must never be blocked due to the magnitude of the damage it can cause. And as a testament to this, a small cloud far away blocking the view of the blue moon beside them split cleanly in half because it stood in the way of the silent but deadly hit.
(Clap, Clap,Clap...)
After his opponent dodged his kick, moved away from him with several flips mid air, and landed gracefully; he clapped while from his ugly face he displayed a bright smile directed at him.
(Chatter "Not, bad.") And at the same time the golden monkey who opened his eyes the moment he launched the diagonal kick, for the very first time talk in his presence. And his words particularly directed at him, at his performance specifically.
This bastard... "You can talk?" Skylar turned to the golden monkey who is staring at him with his clear blue eyes while wearing a bright smile. His expression one might think his an expression of arrogance like saying 'small boy you did well'. And One like Skylar fumes and glares at the golden monkey with a forcefully suppressed scowl.
(Chatter "When the spirit is robust, when the soul burns... Any sentient creature capable of communication can express itself in the first and oldest language in the cosmos...") An old white monkey who appeared to come from the back of the tree narrated in a manner which appear like he is finding it hard to speak coherently.
What's with this nutcase of a monkey... The old monkey who looked at Skylar with a smile that indicated he knows what he is thinking continued "...the language we called the tongues."
So its not because i can understand them, its them making me understand them. That means this tongues language goes both ways, they can also understand my language too...
"Young one that's not necessarily true..." The old monkey paused and brushed his snow white beard with his wizened palm. And Skylar expressed a 'say something old guy' expression.
This young one is definitely... (Chatter "You must have met creatures that can communicate with the tongues... They could understand you easily not because of their own effort but because you instinctively speak the language even if what you are expressing is somehow incoherent...")
So this monkey is saying pretty sis and the others have been doing their best to make out my words. But how am i instinctively speaking some ancient language...
(Chatter "...They can grasp your intent clearly reflected by your extremely robust spirit...") But clearly needs to be reforged...
The serpent mentioned something similar...
"Old guy are you saying i am kind of very loud. Is it a bad thing"
The problem is not that but your spirit. Its very annoying. How can someone live... The old man for a second look to Skylar sides at the gray monkey and the golden monkey and then he answered (Chatter "You must have learned how to shield your thought. The thought is the lid of one's intent. Unless you express yourself intentionally no one...") But a few exceptional freaks... (Chatter"...can read your intent. But you still have to master the tongues.") The old monkey look briefly at the two audience once again and continued. (Chatter "You are very loud and irritating when you 'communicate'.")Then his figure suddenly appeared right in front of Skylar.
An old monster... Skylar startled thought and glared at the old monkey staring into his eyes with a clear ancient pair of eyes that seemed to be able to penetrate his mind and can and see through all of his secret.
After their brief clash of stares the old monkey walked past him towards the exit which is the gap in the flower fence. (Chatter "Young one, your next opponent is him. Karo you step down.") And the old monkey's voice like it is coming from many miles away echoed in the field.
What are this monkey really after. Who will willingly focus on the growth of a stranger. Its not like i have something that can benefit then in anyway or is there something i am unaware of... Skylar turned to the bald gray monkey and throw him a smile of realization. "So your name is karo. Your name is kind of girly. Is that why you act like a girl sometimes, and also your voice..."
(Chatter "Laud.. mauth, shut up...") Karo yelled at him and pointed at the golden monkey who has been looking at them with his signature arrogant smile.
Skylar then turned to look at the golden monkey. ...this guy and his smile, so very annoying...
("Idiosh You nexsht pashner.") Karo reminded the idiot glaring at the golden monkey.
"'F', 'u', 'c', 'k', me." He yelled after the realization of the gray monkey's words struck him.
Its time for the mid boss. Should i just run away... No, i have to try even if i stand zero chance... "Golden guy let's do it now." In a low and quier confident voice he addressed the golden monkey who is now staring at his quivering fist with a vacant gaze.
(Chatter "Come at me with everything you have. If you touch me you win.") The golden monkey who never once took his eyes off the quivering fist accept the challenge.
"Thank you for the win in advance." like a cheetah and with a smile Skylar pounced at the golden monkey.
But Skylar's figure, while midair and towards the annoying monkey suddenly plummet to the ground after it appeared to have been hit squarely by an invisible attack he couldn't sense in anyway.
And unconscious he sprawled on the dirt in an embarrassing position. He passed out in utter silence, except for the former deep thud.
(Chatter "Sho weak.") Karo looked at his figure on the ground pitifully.
