"What's this about? You want me to help you?" After hearing Tohka's words, Tony seemed a little confused. What was this about her friend needing his help? Was it for murder, or starting a fire, needing him to bail someone out of prison? So, he didn't immediately agree and instead wanted to hear more details from Tohka before making a decision.
"Well, it's for a friend of mine. I want you to make him a suit." Tohka didn't know what Tony was thinking, but she directly stated her purpose.
"Are you sure? You know the Iron Man suit is my core technology. And are you sure about your friend's character? Could he be trying to deceive you?" Tony furrowed his brows upon hearing Tohka's words. His first reaction was that this person was approaching Tohka just for his Iron Man suit, considering the military and government had always been envious of it. After the Hammer Industries incident, Ivan Vanko had triggered all the Iron Soldiers, and since the guy deliberately left nothing on his computer, those people almost went crazy. This method reminded Tony of a past incident when he was tricked back in college.
"Yeah, you're overthinking it." Seeing Tony's serious and somewhat angry expression, Tohka quickly explained, "I don't want the Iron Man suit. It's actually a bit too much for my friend at the moment. One of my friends has gained superpowers, but he doesn't have a proper suit, so I wanted to ask for a basic combat suit. It doesn't involve the Iron Man armor or the arc reactor. As for my friend's character, you can rest assured. He's definitely trustworthy."
Tohka wasn't lying about this. In terms of character, Spider-Man (Peter Parker) was actually better than Tony. It's just that... he talked too much, enough to bore his opponents to death.
"Alright, send me your friend's details... actually, never mind. Just bring him here. I'm at the top floor of Stark Tower right now." For the sake of caution, Tony decided he should meet the guy in person. No matter what, even though Tohka was helping with the introduction, Tony, being the proud person he was, would never allow one of his creations to fall into the hands of someone mediocre.
"Alright, come with me." After hearing Tony's words, Tohka grabbed Spider-Man without giving him any time to react. She ramped up her speed to the maximum and flew toward Stark Tower. Before long, they reached the top floor, Tony's luxurious office.
"Phew, fire, I'm on fire!" Just as Tohka let Spider-Man down, he had ignited himself due to the intense air friction. Now, he was rolling on the ground trying to put out the flames. However, Tony's robots were quicker. Mechanical arms extended from the floor, and a fire extinguisher sprayed out, completely putting out the fire on Spider-Man.
"Follow me. This is his office, and that guy should be in the research lab downstairs." After glancing at the empty office, Tohka retracted her armor and led Spider-Man toward the elevator. But she had to admit that, as Spider-Man, this guy's resistances weren't an issue. Otherwise, how could he have rescued people in a fire? So, his suit got burned, but that was the least of his problems.
"Wow, awesome! This is Iron Man's company? It's really impressive, not any worse than Harry's dad's office." Just as Tohka had expected, Spider-Man was fine. He quickly got up, patting the foam off his suit, and looked around excitedly. Indeed, this guy becoming a superhero was no accident. You could tell he really liked these powerful and legendary superheroes.
"This guy's cells are really something, but it's a bit strange. Based on this, he should be able to infinitely split. In theory, every one of his cells could turn into an individual, but why is it just this one? What if we disassemble him into pieces, or..." By the time Tohka brought Spider-Man into Tony's office, Tony was still studying Deadpool's cells. But this conversation... Tohka didn't even know how to respond. Did Tony really think one Deadpool wasn't annoying enough? Did he want a whole army of them to show up and drive him crazy?
"So, this is your friend? Just an ordinary kid." After hearing Tohka's footsteps, Tony turned around and examined Spider-Man. He then sighed in relief. This guy looked like an ordinary kid, about the same age as Tohka. He was completely different from the person Tony imagined would purposely approach Tohka. And he didn't feel any special aura from Spider-Man either. Of course, Tohka didn't know how to respond. At this point, Spider-Man had just started his journey and hadn't been through any major battles, so he didn't yet have the aura of a superhero.
"Hi, I'm Peter Parker. I'm..."
"Hold on a second. Uh, Tohka, could you step out for a moment? I need to have a proper talk with your friend." Before Peter could finish speaking, Tony interrupted him and waved his hand at Tohka, asking her to step out. He needed to assess whether this guy was worthy of his help. Meanwhile, he was flipping through a control screen, where the information Tohka had sent him about Spider-Man was clearly visible.
"Do whatever you want." Tohka shrugged. She noticed Tony seemed to have misunderstood something, but she couldn't be bothered to explain. She walked out on her own. After all, she didn't understand all that high-tech stuff, nor did she expect it to improve her. She still had her own power. Since she had been asked to leave, Tohka returned to Tony's office. There was no one inside, and Pepper was nowhere to be found, so she opened a package of coffee Tony had left there and started drinking.
"Well, you guys are already talking so enthusiastically." Before long, Tohka saw the two of them walking out excitedly. She could only think, "Like attracts like, two show-offs."
"Yeah. Not bad, your friend is to my liking. Don't worry about it, I'll handle his suit." Well, Tony had a principle when making friends: they had to match his tastes. And apparently, Spider-Man, being a show-off, fit that perfectly.
