Chapter 18:
Gilbert House:
I ring the bell. Then I hear three sets of foot steps and finally the door open.
Light: Well!! Aren't you ladies looking lovely!!
Then I give a bouquet of flowers to each of them.
Then Caroline, Elena and Bonnie blush and smile at me.
Elena: These are beautiful! Thank you.
Bonnie: Yeah, they're perfect!!
Caroline: You're trying to win us over with flowers, huh?
She playfully laugh at me.
Elena: Please come in!!
Then all of them step aside and I come inside the house and then they lead me into the dining room, where a table is set for dinner.
Elena: Dinner's almost ready! You're just in time!!
Bonnie: We were starting to think you weren't going to show up!!!
Caroline: Yeah!!! We almost started without you. You know how it is with food!
I chuckle at their words. And take a seat at the table.
Light: Wouldn't dream of missing this!!!
Then Elena smile at me.
Elena: We're glad to have you here! Let's eat!!!
Then Elena serve the dishes. And I know that she didn't make it by herself but order. But I'm not gonna say anything about it.
Elena: Did Mr. Tanner give you a hard time today?
Light: Well!! He let me on the team.... So, I must have played well!!! Because that guy didn't like me at all!!
Bonnie: Caroline!! You should have seen Light, today!!! Tyler threw a ball right at him...
Caroline: Seriously Bonnie!!! Everyone in the school knows about that... but you are right, I should have been there to see it by myself!!
Then she sigh.
Then I hear front door unlocking and after few seconds, I watch Jenna and Damon coming inside the house.
Jenna: Surprise!!! We brought dessert!!! Oh!!... And this my boyfriend, Damon Salvatore!!
Then everyone turn towards Damon.
Elena: Oh!! You're Damon, Light's older brother!!
Damon: Yes!! And you must be Elena!! Pleasure to meet you!!
And then he grab her hand and kiss her knuckles.
Damon: You have a beautiful home, Elena!!
Then he give flirty smile to Elena.
Elena: Hmm... thanks!!!
She reply little awkwardly.
Atmosphere become little awkward because Damon eyes is only on Elena. And he didn't even say hello to Caroline and Bonnie and totally ignore them including Jenna. So, I try to make little less awkward.
Light: Yeah!! Okay!! Damon, you should take a seat!
Then I turn towards Elena.
Light: Elena!! Why don't you help Jenna with the dessert and things!!
Elena give me look that say thank you. And then she and Jenna go towards the kitchen area. And finally when Damon can't see Elena then he sit down.
Few minutes later.....
I'm talking to Bonnie, Caroline and Jenna when I hear Damon and Elena talking to each other.
Damon: One more!!
Elena: Thank you!!
Then I hear her laughing. I think that Damon had done the same thing, what he did in series, first he try to give Elena a glass then drop it and then again catch it.
Elena: Nice Save!!
And I'm right.
Damon: I like you!! You know how to laugh!!... You remind me of someone.
Elena: Who??
Damon: Her name was Katherine.... she was beautiful... a lot like you in that department! She was also very complicated and selfish.....at times not very kind but very sexy and seductive!!!
Elena: You're saying was....
Damon: Yeah!! She is dead..... because of..... Fire!! Tragic fire!!
Elena: Recently??
Damon: Seems like it was yesterday!!
Elena: I'm sorry!!
Then I say sorry to everyone and walk towards the kitchen. And see that Damon is giving sad smile to Elena.
Light: Hey!! Need some help!!
Then both of them turn towards me.
Damon: Oh!! Brother I need to do something..... So, I will go back home first.
Then he turn towards Elena.
Damon: Thanks for the dinner, Elena!!
Then he left.
Light: So!! He was not disturbing you, right!!
Elena: He was not disturbing me. And he is your brother and my aunt's boyfriend.....so, I should at least talk to him.
I chuckle at her words. Then I start helping her in cleaning.
Light:Hmm.... And if I were you..... I will definitely quit cheerleading!!
Elena then turn towards me.
Elena: Why do you say that??
Light: Oh!! Nothing!!!...Just that... I saw you at practice!! And you look miserable!
I say playfully to Elena.
She smile at me.
Elena: Oh!! You saw that!!
But then her smile drop.
Elena: I used to love it.... it was fun but things are different this year. Everything that used to matter doesn't anymore.
Light: So, don't let it!!! Quit!! Move on!! Problem solved.... Ta Da!!!!
Elena chuckle at my words.
Elena: Some things could matter again!!
Light: Yeah, you right!! That's why you should try to do everything..... But if you feel like it is not fun anymore!! Then you should quit and try new things!!
Then I smile at her.
After that we walk towards the living room and I only see Bonnie and Caroline sitting there. Then Elena and I take a seat near them.
Bonnie: Hey... we need to tell you something.
Then everyone looks towards me.
Bonnie, Caroline and Elena: I like you!!!!!
Then everyone look at each other and then Bonnie start speaking.
Bonnie: I know this might sound crazy, but I can't keep it in anymore. I like you. I really do. And I know this might change things, especially between all of us, but..... I feel like I can share you with the others. It's just..... I can't pretend it's not how I feel. I'm willing to make this work if you are.
She said this nervously but with determination.
Caroline: It's a bit complicated!! But I'm willing to try, especially if it means keeping things between us real. I'm ready to share if that's what it takes. Just... don't let this tear us apart, okay?
She said this with a mix of vulnerability and confidence.
Elena look towards Bonnie and Caroline, then look towards me.
Elena:I've been feeling the same way for a while, and it's been hard to ignore. I like you, too. And I know that might sound like a lot, but... we all value our friendship, and maybe this doesn't have to break us apart. I think we could make it work. I'm willing to share you, even if it means it changes things between us. I just don't want to lose you, in any way.
Light: I... I'm glad you all feel the same way. Because honestly, I like you all too!!! I'm okay with sharing!!
Then I take a deep breath.
Light: But there's something else you should know. I also have a girlfriend..... her name is Rebekah!!! She knows about everything, and... she's actually okay with me having more than one girlfriend. She's really understanding and supportive of this. In fact, she even wants to meet all of you. I think it'll be important for us all to be open with each other. Rebekah is excited to get to know you, and I hope that you'll feel the same.
Bonnie is shocked but then calm down.
Bonnie: Oh!! Okay, I wasn't expecting that, but if Rebekah's okay with it, I'm open to meeting her and seeing where this goes.
Caroline:Well, this is new, but I respect it. If she's fine with it, I'm in. Let's take it slow.
Caroline said this while grinning at me.
Elena smile softly at me.
Elena: I'm glad we're all being honest. If Rebekah's cool with it, I'm excited to meet her and figure this out.
Light: Thanks, everyone!!! Rebekah's great, and I'm sure you'll get along!! You can meet her tomorrow if you're all up for it!! Wait a sec... How I can forget about this!!! Where is my reward for getting into the team?
Caroline: What reward??
Then Elena and Bonnie chuckle and come towards me and one by one they kiss me on the lips.
Caroline: I don't know, what is going on... but you guys should include me too!!
Then she jump at me and I laugh at her actions. And then she finally kiss me.
