As we walked, the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the unfamiliar streets.
My stomach growled, reminding me that we hadn't eaten all day. Lucy must have heard it too, because she turned to me with a smile.
"Hey, let's go get some food," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
I hesitated, feeling a pang of worry. "But how are we going to pay for it? We don't have any money."
Lucy smirked, pulling out a wad of cash from her pocket. "Don't worry, I' have got us covered. I may not have my phone, but I've got money."
I raised an eyebrow, impressed. "You're a lifesaver, Lucy."
We walked into a nearby restaurant, the aroma of delicious food wafting out and making our mouths water.
The interior was cozy and intimate, with soft music playing in the background.
As we looked over the menu, Lucy turned to me with a mischievous glint in her eye. "You know, maybe this is exactly what we need. A chance to get away from everything and just relax."
