"Good morning," I greeted as I walked inside the office but all I got was silence. I recalled what occurred last night, and with the thought, they were still moody about the attack.
"She is the one, the Alpha recused." I heard murmurs as I found my way to my seat. But I didn't react, words have been spreading so fast since the previous night that I got recused.
I went to my seat ignoring them like I always do and that was when I noticed that Lady Nyx wasn't on the seat.
Then I recalled how Alpha Ian had ordered his men to throw her in the dungeon, my hands moved to my lips as I was shocked.
"Did he do that?" I asked no one but myself, and just then some files were thrown to my desk, I looked up to see Ryder's irritating gaze directed at me.
"You can go survey the sole of our branches, and give a report on how the business is going, what would be needed and what wouldn't be," Ryder explained and I nodded my head picking up the files.
