EMMA
I got home to my family in the kitchen having a nice family time. I can't help but be worried about Olivia, which Alpha Ian had used in threatening me today.
"Livvy?" I called out as I entered the kitchen, but my parents just shook their heads signifying she wanted with them.
"She's in her room, sleeping," my mom said, her eyes filled with concern. "How was work today? You didn't get bullied, did you?" she asked further.
I forced a smile, shaking my head. "Of course not, Mom. I am doing fine... just suffering from..."
My words trailed off as my mom pulled me into a warm, tight hug. This was what I loved about her, she always knew when I needed a hug.
I hugged her back, leaning my head on her shoulder as I fought to hold back tears. We can overcome this, I told myself.
