With his current perception, Madara could clearly "see" everything in this realm known as the King's World.
In the vast void of the starry expanse, it was as if an invisible brush were sketching the outline of a massive planet. Yet, this world was incomplete— an empty husk, with only a small piece of land beneath his feet. Beyond that, nothing but an abyss stretched endlessly in every direction.
The void. A boundless, consuming void.
But this defied all logic! In the great cosmos, how could such a minuscule fragment exist, sustaining human life?
Compared to the cosmic vastness, this world felt like a lone leaf adrift in a stormy sea— one that could be swallowed whole at any moment.
The surrounding terrain was fractured. Mountains lay in ruins, ancient trees had been reduced to stumps, and once-mighty rivers had run dry. If one stood at the very edge of this land and took a single step forward, they would plummet into the infinite abyss of space.
"This is impossible!" Uchiha Madara muttered in disbelief.
"Nothing is impossible, Madara San. This is our home— the King's World," Gandalf replied calmly.
"This isn't a world— it's a dying husk! How could anyone possibly live here?" Madara's voice was laced with skepticism.
"The King's World is on the brink of collapse, dissolving into nothingness. It is only by His Majesty's will that it still exists."
"Once we establish a powerful kingdom in your world, His Majesty will be able to walk the King's Path. He will merge the realms, restore the shattered mountains, revive the forests, bring life back to the rivers, and fill the void with oceans once more."
"This world will be reborn."
Gandalf's tone was solemn.
"This is the power of a god… And you're saying that boy can achieve this?!" Madara was shaken.
"He is the sovereign of the stars. No miracle is beyond his reach." Gandalf sighed, then turned his sharp gaze toward Madara.
"You do not yet understand the King's true nature!"
At that moment, a deep, resounding chime interrupted their conversation.
"Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang!"
Nine bells echoed throughout the Royal City.
The returning soldiers stood tall, their faces brimming with pride, while the three generals beamed with joy.
These bells signified victory. The Realm Gate had acknowledged their conquest, marking their triumphant return.
And all of it was thanks to His Majesty!
Despite his initial setback, the seventeen-year-old monarch had refused to accept failure. He had stepped into the Otherworld once more and led them to an undeniable victory.
"Your Majesty, we did it! The Kingdom is safe!"
Fang Lan cried out, her voice thick with emotion as tears streamed down her face.
Qin Yi placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, his heart heavy with complex emotions.
This land was his— his kingdom, his possession. Yet, within it lived real people. People who suffered. The starving children, the destitute families, their struggles, their pain—it all surged within him at this moment.
He had spent little time here before venturing into the Naruto World, but even in that brief period, he had come to understand the sorrow and despair of his people.
And now, he had returned.
In the Royal City, the sound of the nine bells left the citizens stunned.
"Nine rings of the Realm Bell?!"
"What does this mean?!"
"His Majesty has triumphed!"
Inside the palace, maids who had been tidying Qin Yi's quarters stopped in their tracks. A moment later, tears welled up in their eyes before spilling down their cheeks. Smiles followed.
The soldiers patrolling the streets, the weary officials, the common folk huddled together for warmth— they all froze as the bells tolled, and then, in unison, they burst into tears.
And as they wept, they laughed.
In the farmlands, workers dropped their tools, falling to their knees. Clenching their right fists, they pounded their chests.
"Your Majesty, we did it!!"
The nine chimes carried a singular message throughout the kingdom— Qin Yi had returned victorious.
The nation would not perish. Their lives would change.
Hope had been rekindled.
Meanwhile, at the Realm Gate, the stationed guards watched in shock as hundreds of figures materialized before them.
A moment later, joy spread across their faces.
"I am Captain Yue Wu of the Realm Gate Guard! I pay my respects to Your Majesty!"
Tears glistened in Yue Wu's eyes as he pounded his right fist against his chest.
"Yue Wu, you've done well!"
Qin Yi smiled.
Yue Wu wiped his eyes repeatedly, momentarily speechless.
"Alright, I understand your emotions but compose yourself. There are matters I must ask you, and you must answer truthfully."
Hearing Qin Yi's command, Yue Wu took a deep breath, nodding firmly. "Your Majesty, ask whatever you wish!"
"What is the current state of the kingdom? Have the ministers taken any action in my absence?"
Qin Yi's voice carried a dangerous edge.
Before leaving, he hadn't had time to deal with those incompetent fools. This was their last chance— if they had not changed, their fate was sealed.
"Your Majesty, those old rats did nothing! They hoarded the kingdom's food stores, never once considering the starving citizens."
"If it weren't for us keeping them in check, they might have even turned to exploiting the people!"
Yue Wu's fists clenched in fury. The soldiers behind him shared the same simmering anger.
"Your Majesty, most of the officials in the Royal City are remnants of the former regime— leeches who bought their positions through favors."
Qin Lin spoke in a low voice.
"Oh? My father's people?" Qin Yi smirked coldly.
"To call them your father's people would be a stretch, but they are indeed the relatives and friends of his former subordinates." Qin Lin shook his head as he spoke.
"Hah!"
Qin Yi chuckled darkly.
A pack of parasites, misleading him and the nation. Worthless at best, corrupt at worst. And now, at the kingdom's most desperate hour, they had failed completely.
It didn't matter if they were his father's allies. He would not tolerate them.
A ruler must be both merciful and merciless.
At that moment, a minister dressed in rough linen robes came rushing forward, his face alight with joy.
"Your Majesty! You have returned victorious!?"
Excitement laced his voice as a dozen ministers gathered behind him.
"Are you pleased?" Qin Yi's expression was unreadable.
The ministers hesitated, sensing something was amiss.
"Well… there is some joy—"
Before the old minister could finish, Qin Yi raised his hand.
"No, I see you're not pleased. Come forward."
"Y-Yes, Your Majesty!"
A soldier stepped forward.
"Execute them all."
Qin Yi's voice was cold as steel.
