Jenny entered the room and noticed James sitting on the bed while resting his body against the wall. He tried to smile looking her way but she could tell that he was indeed in pain by the way his face contorted while he tried to smile.
"James…" Her voice trailed as she rushed to his side. The nurse, who was helping him to remain seated, left the room to provide them some space. She went beside him and took the nurse's place to help him remain seated.
"Ho-How's Adrian?" He asked in a low voice and it squeezed her heart to see his condition. She just mouthed, 'He's fine' as she was afraid she would give herself away to her emotions if she tried to speak.
