Elysia had been going berserk when she tried to call Layla for the umpteenth time to no avail.
'The number you're trying to call is unreachable currently. Please try again later.'
"Layla… Where are you!" Her voice shook as she felt something might have happened to her. It had been six days now and she had been having this frightful thought ever since. Usually, Layla used to call her occasionally every day but now she couldn't stop herself anymore.
"Sir… Please can you contact her; I just want to make sure she is safe." She pleaded on her knees before David and it was close to ten in the night when he just returned. Elysia could smell him being intoxicated but that's something common in richer households.
David on the other hand beamed his eyes towards her and seeing her in that position stirred up something within him. He approached the maid and started caressing her head while Elysia allowed him to do so thinking he really cared about her.
