Everyone nodded their heads before looking around to see if any animal was hurt or not but luckily they didn't find any injured animal.
"Seems like they just got here," Aaron said.
These two squirrels were frozen in their places. They were looking at them without blinking their eyes.
Amara felt her heart hurting for them.
Maybe the gaze of someone else wasn't really as gentle as hers.
Maybe the touch of someone else wasn't really as soft as hers.
Maybe the reason behind them running away from humans wasn't really just for nothing.
Amara took a few steps towards them. Hoping for them to understand that she wasn't going to hurt them but they started running as fast as they could.
"Maybe they still can't trust us, humans. We never gave them a chance too.."
Everyone noticed the sadness inside of Amara's eyes.
They were also feeling sad for these innocent animals as well as angry towards these animalistic humans.
Deep inside they were also feeling ashamed of themselves. They were also angry about their own hypocrisy.
They weren't any better than these humans and they knew it. They also had animals as meals.
Suddenly everyone could feel the atmosphere around turn gloomy, just like the sky.
"Let's take a bath in the waterfall. It's just a few steps away and really beautiful. I can't wait any longer," Alexander said changing the topic.
An exciting look covered everyone's face.
"I would love to go there. Let's go as fast as we can," Amara happily chirped in.
Others smiled while looking at her smile.
They all started following Alexander. They have been walking for a long time and have finally reached the deepest part of the forest.
"How much longer do we need to reach there?"Aurora asked with a tired expression.
Amara also looked tired. Alexander had this huge grin on his face. He looked so full of energy that Amara started feeling jealous of him.
"Just a few more seconds. We are already here. See we are already here!" He excitedly jumped and pushed apart the bushes, displaying a beautiful waterfall.
Amara felt her heart-stopping at the beautiful sight in front of her.
Her mouth was slightly wide open and her eyes full of admiration. Unknowingly, she started walking towards the waterfall.
As usual, she was feeling the same connection. Every time she's out admiring nature, she feels like she's at home.
She felt as if everyone around her disappeared, only leaving her and the beautiful nature.
Nicolas was looking at her instead of the waterfall.
To him, her beautiful hair was more beautiful than the waterfall.
To him, her smile was more bright than the sun.
To him, her eyes were more clear and deeper than the river.
A small smile tugged upwards his lips.
He was amazed by how amazing she looked while being amazed by the nature.
He could feel himself falling in love with her slowly but she looked the least bothered by him, and this irritates him to no end.
"If you are done eyeing the love of your life, can we just go and jump in the water?" Alexander asked tapping Amara on her shoulder which bought her out of her trace.
Amara nodded her eyes before looking behind and her eyes met Nicolas's eyes, who was already looking at her with admiration in his eyes.
Her cheeks flushed under his gaze and she immediately looked away, cursing herself for feeling this way.
"Amara, no feelings!" She scolded her heart.
They slowly got down to the water.
The water was so cold that they felt like they were going to catch a cold, just by staying here for another second.
Amara felt like her body has started to shake a little and soon, a sneeze left her body.
It wasn't the cute anime-like sneeze, it was the powerful one. The one where your whole body shakes with the sneeze.
The birds stopped chirping and it seemed as if the moment has stopped.
Even the sound of the waterfall seemed inaudible to everyone's ears.
Everyone looked at her startled. Her cheeks again warmed up after feeling everyone's gaze on her.
She remembered watching a movie where a woman was teaching others how to act like a lady.
She was telling them how to seat, how to eat, how to laugh, and even how to sneeze.
Even though all of these looked laughable to Amara as she believes that there's no rule about how you can be you.
You just act like yourself and there's no actual rule about how you should act like a lady.
You are a woman, whether you are feminine or masculine. And being a woman is your biggest power.
You are powerful and you do you. You don't need someone else to tell you what you need to be like, even though our society loves to tell women about how they should grow up!
She was almost sure that higher class Lycan ladies were told to be feminine but she wasn't from the higher class.
She was thankful that she doesn't have to follow those ridiculous rules.
Why would you even need to laugh or sneeze politely when it's a human emotion and body function?
Why even our behavior is controlled?
She wondered if everyone in the higher class was depressed or not.
She looked at Alexander who looked almost..excited?
Confusion took over her features.
"We should do a sneezing completion next time. You sounded almost like me. A little bit more louder and we are going to match," he grinned happily.
Amara felt like her thinking capability left her mind and blankness took over her entire mind.
"Competition? About sneezing? Is he stupid or I am dumb?" she thought before looking at him like he has grown two horns.
"It's ok if you don't want to. I won't force you. After all, your body, your wish," he slowly said.
