The air tensed, the only sound filling the silence was that of the water crashing against rocks.
Aurelia watched them glance at each other before separating without a word.
As Kade pulled up his pants, Cassian walked to stand in front of her.
Recognizing her, his eyes instantly dimmed.
"You didn't see anything." Kade suddenly said darkly behind him.
Aurelia nodded vigorously, stuttering a little as she retorted, "I always come here every night for a swim. My presence here tonight is to do what I do every night."
Hearing her talk, Kade's eyes darkened. But he didn't budge.
Bending over to her level, Cassian stared at her stoically.
"You say a word, I'll know. I take it you don't wish to die at such a young age."
Knowing she only had her life now, she genuinely gulped down fearfully.
"N-no one wishes to die at the age of 24, my lord."
He pressed his lips together, watching her tremble in fear.
