Standing in front of two white double doors with gold door knobs while each door had a fancy written letter , the left door had a "S" while the right had a "T" as Cain gave the door a couple of knocks.
"Enter!" A voice said from the other side as Cain opened the door "I have brought the boy as you instructed Lord Tempest." Cain said as a man could be seen sitting behind a wooden desk in with the view of the backyard behind him with a patio.
The man's golden brown eyes looked at Indra while putting a piece of paper onto a stack on his left and putting down the pen "Interesting…you have a strange smell, I never met another Dragon like myself that had a smell as strange as yours." He said as it caught Indra off guard now knowing in his presence was another Dragon, now standing up and straightening out his dark blue suit and walking over towards him as Indra also noticed the dragon-scaled shoes he wore.
"Who's your parents? Do you know your last name?" He asked as Indra didn't speak and only stared at him as Cain looked at him "Speak boy, the master of this manor asked you a question!" He said as Indra looked away from the man in front of him "My father sold me so I don't know my last name, nor do I care for it." Indra said as the main in front of him nodded slowly.
"My good friend here has told me you're the only survivor from the assignment I sent him and his team on, and requested for you to stay here because maybe you could be beneficial to me in some way…" The man said while stepping closer and looking down at him.
"If his good will is wasted on you I can arrange for you to be placed in a orphanage and we can cut our business short here." He said as Indra could now feel the intense air around them "It isn't wasted." Indra responded as the man reached his hand out to Indra.
"Welcome to Tempest Manor, I am Lord Siegfried Tempest." He said as Indra shook his hand "Anything you need you can let Cain know and he will handle it." Siegfried said while returning back to his desk as his black hair swayed slightly behind him.
"Follow me, I'll show you to your room." He said as he followed Sir Cain from the top floor back to the bottom "Is it because your lord is also a Dragon part of the reason why you took me in?" Indra asked as Cain glanced over at him.
"He took you in because I asked him to, it has nothing to do with the blood running through your veins." Cain said as they continued their walk "If not then why does your word hold so much weight?" Indra said as Cain looked over at him.
"Maybe, because there was a time when I wasn't only a butler and did more for Lord Tempest." Cain said as they reached the first floor "And what time was that?" Indra responded as he was led to the backyard once again "A story for another time, for now, I'll be showing you to your room." He said while leading him to the second building across from the fighting hall he was just in.
There was only the one door that was on the side instead of the front like the fighting hall, once inside off to the right side there was the living room that had a gray L-Shaped sectional and a black rug under it with a gray marble rectangular table that had a light blue light glowing up under it along with a tv that was mounted to the wall while in front of them was the kitchen that only had space for maybe two to three people in it at a time.
A white and gray marble island with three black barstools and a bit left was the double sinks and black cabinets that hung over it that also had silver handles to open them between the kitchen and living room that was to the left and right of them had a walk way that led them towards multiple rooms most already having names on the doors that were white in color.
"Does everyone here live this way?" Indra asked as Cain stopped them at the third door on the left "Everyone that's under our lord's command, just because you're a commoner doesn't mean you belong in the stables where they keep the horses or the ally's with the homeless." Cain said while opening the door as he saw brown carpet with a bed on a wooden frame.
"Today I'll let you rest, you are more than welcome to hone your skills in the fighting hall or explore the town and if you do go into town try to avoid trouble, you are now an extension of our lord of the manor." Cain said while leaving as Indra stepped into his new room 'I can't let luxury distract me from the main goal.' Indra thought inwardly while walking towards the window and saw that he had a view of the pool 'I am stronger today because of the sacrifice my former peers made...I can't let their sacrifices go in vain.' Indra thought while making his way towards the bed.
A real rest was what he felt like he needed now and learning his surroundings would be beneficial once he awakened from his nap and explore the town and browse the library.
