Synopsis
In the realm of Eldara, humans and demi-humans share the land—but not as equals. While humans thrive in walled cities of stone and steel, demi-humans—creatures born of magic and ancient bloodlines—are scorned as the “Impure Race” and driven to the edges of society. But in the shadows of this fractured world, a secret council known only as the Twelve Zodiacs watches over the balance. Each member, bound to a celestial sign, wields unique magic and carries the burden of guarding the old pacts that once united the races. To most, the Zodiacs are a myth. To the Impure, they are protectors—and their last hope. As tensions rise and war draws near, the Twelve Zodiacs must emerge from the shadows. But even among them, trust is fragile… and betrayal may come from within.

Chapter 1 - Beginning

Sitting in a dark alley in the drizzling rain, a boy could be seen wrapped in a brown cloak as his wild blonde and peach hair could be seen as well while blood slowly fell from the wounds on his chest and rib-cage.

This was as far as he could get and being alone with no family to run to didn't make it any better either, especially how the world now is starting to show their distaste towards the "Impure born" more often now.

Everyone that wasn't human received horrible treatment from humans- at least any treatment that wasn't noticeable by anyone important enough to punish them, the royal family decreed coexistence but if you ask anyone unimportant nothing's changed.

He also was an Impure Born, his father sold him to a man that wanted transcend his race and become a dragon and apparently it works out since he was made with another woman and not his mate, who knew that a man wouldn't want a child that he can't explain? This was his forced reality.

His captor had no issue letting him know that information, even about how he also was a defect son anyways that can't use his family's lineage skill 'Whatever the hell that was.' The boy thought inwardly with a small frown while still clutching his wounds.

He was strong like a dragon should be and durable but what use are you if you can't use any skills? You'd be no different than a regular human- at least in the eyes of the dragons.

The sound of someone approaching hit his ears as he saw a silhouette of a tall man around six foot five standing there with a trash bag as he slowly walked towards him as his consciousness slipped away from him against his will.

Soon the morning came as there was a soft feeling under him that kept him glued to whatever he was laying on until the thought of him laying down somewhere comfortable struck him as he immediately sat up and checked his surroundings.

He was laying on a bed with white sheets and pillows including a white quilt as the bed itself sat on a wooden frame, the nightstand to his right in the corner held a plant in a round brown pot as he could also see out the window and saw people walking around with their families and a couple of Demi-humans as well doing the same.

"Try not to look too sad, some of those people hate the family they're apart of." A feminine voice said as he turned to his left looking towards the door and saw a woman with shoulder length brunette hair and brown eyes wearing a maid outfit.

"You seem to be doing a lot better than you were before, you have a very resilient body!" She said while walking closer to check his bandages as he instinctively backed away from her as she noticed this and backed away.

"It seems you have suffered a very tragic incident last night, I promise I am only here to help you recover and get on your feet." She said as he stared at her "What's your name?" She asked as they sat in silence for a moment.

"I'm Indra…" he said as she gave a small nod "Well Indra I'm glad we found you! My name is Emily!" She said with a small smile as the sound of a doorknob turning caught his ears and soon the sound of a door opening then closing "Were you expecting guests?" Indra asked as his heart began to race not wanting to get caught by his previous captor.

Soon the sound of boots hit the stairs as the maid turned towards the door not noticing someone had came inside the house and soon entering his vision was a bald man with tan skin and shades, wearing a black shirt that was tucked in his pants with dark gray cargo pants and a black belt and boots.

He was silent as his figure reminded him of the silhouette from last night as he now can see the clean circle goatee on the man's face in front of him "You have great hearing…" his deep voice said while slowly making his way towards the bed and looked at him.

"Did you change his bandages?" He asked as she shook her head "He just woke up and was a bit on guard so I haven't touched him." She said as he gave a low hum "Give us the room." He said as she gave a slight nod before leaving.

Not being able to see his eyes made him slightly anxious and uncomfortable "So, now that you are awake do you wanna talk about why you were in the alley?" He asked as Indra stayed silent "I know you came from that mansion up the hill three to five miles from here…" He said as Indra began looking at the door that was still wide open.

"I don't know anything about a mansion." He said as the man gave a slow nod "Oh but you do," he said while crossing his arms "My team and I tracked parts of your blood trail and cleaned your tracks but what we wanna know is how did you escape?" He said as Indra immediately shot out the bed as fast as he could and rolled across the floor.

By the time he reached the door he saw the staircase and the front door with no one blocking it 'I can't let them take me! I REFUSE!!' He thought as he took a swan dive down the flight of stairs with a front flip and landed at the bottom and the moment he opened the door it was closed by a gloved white hand.

The man he was now staring at had short black and gray spiky hair that hung to his eyebrows and black eyes with a butler suit and shoes as his skin was nearly pale with a gray beard, as they locked eyes Indra could feel that the man in front of him was no push over.
