Chapter 166 - Chapter 165: Spider-Man 2099 (Part-1)

The transformed spider monster version of Earth-6078 Peter even attempted to attack Uncle Ben.

After killing many members of the rescue team summoned by Uncle Ben, and nearly killing Uncle Ben himself—a regret that would haunt him forever—Electro and Mechanical Doctor Octopus arrived in time to subdue him.

Electro did not reveal his identity as a member of the Interdimensional Task Force, instead disguising himself as part of an organization from that world, claiming they would take Earth-6078 Peter away for treatment.

Uncle Ben from that world clearly did not trust Electro—who would?

But there was no choice.

Due to Peter's actions after becoming a spider monster, he had already become a supervillain in that world. Superheroes had begun targeting him, preparing to kill him.

Uncle Ben had only two options: watch Peter die or gamble and let Electro take him away.

The former meant certain death, while the latter offered a sliver of hope.

Before departing, Earth-6078 Uncle Ben pleaded with Electro to completely remove Peter's powers if possible, allowing the family to return to a normal life.

Electro accepted the request and took Earth-6078 Peter away.

After hearing the explanation, Mr. Mechanical Octopus said, "Put him in Room No. 3 and wait for Dr. Connors to arrive."

"Alright, I'll leave the rest to you," Electro nodded before turning and leaving the laboratory.

Before long, he arrived at the tallest building in the central square.

The building resembled a palace in design.

It was the gathering place for the official members of the Interdimensional Task Force, serving as its primary base.

There was no door—only a magic array at the entrance.

Electro approached the magic array, placed his hand on it, and soon the array glowed faintly, absorbing him inside.

Electro remained calm—clearly accustomed to this process.

Ever since his captain, Peter, learned magic, many areas had been engraved with different magical arrays, turning the place into a bizarre fusion of technology and magic.

Boom!

A massive figure descended from the sky, crashing onto the floor in front of Electro, making the entire floor tremble under its weight.

"Roar!" The creature was one of the three Deinonychus—Deinonychus Noro.

It quickly stood up, let out a roar, and sprinted toward the other side.

Standing in its path was a Quetzalcoatlus the size of a fighter jet—Pterosaur Norman!

Facing the oncoming attack, Pterosaur Norman didn't even bother to fly. As the Deinonychus approached, Norman simply raised one wing and swatted it away.

Thud!

Deinonychus Noro tumbled back once again.

Neither Electro nor Mechanical Doctor Octopus was surprised.

Such scenes had been happening for more than a month.

When Electro was promoted to the second vice-captain—second only to Gwen—it left Pterosaur Norman, who had always coveted the position, feeling quite dissatisfied.

However, those petty thoughts were long gone.

After witnessing the wonders of the multiverse and seeing Peter's powers continue to grow, Pterosaur Norman had completely abandoned the idea of returning to his own universe.

Now, he only wanted to follow Peter and do a good job.

To that end, he trained his three Deinonychus subordinates diligently, aiming to strengthen his small squad and become the third vice-captain as soon as possible!

Sure enough, the other two Deinonychus lay sprawled out on the floor nearby.

Pterosaur Norman subjected his subordinates to small training sessions every three days and large ones every five days, leaving the three Deinonychus constantly groaning in misery.

But what could they do?

The three-headed Atrociraptors were originally Pteranorman's subordinates, and Peter was more than happy to see his underlings grow stronger.

Besides, Pteranorman was quite measured in his actions. Though he struck hard, with the enhanced physical resilience of the three-headed Atrociraptors, they only suffered superficial wounds—nothing that would affect their foundation, let alone threaten their lives.

The appearance of Electro-Man caught Pteranorman's attention.

However, he had no intention of greeting him. Instead, he let out a cold snort, making no effort to hide his displeasure toward Electro-Man.

He considered himself strong and had been following Boss Peter far longer than that damned Electro-Man. So why was it that Electro-Man got promoted to vice-captain first?

It had to be because these three were too weak!

A fierce glint flashed in Pteranorman's narrow eyes. "Get up, all of you! Keep training!"

"Ah?!!"

"No way!!"

"Please, Boss, no!"

The three-headed Atrociraptors wailed in misery.

Electro-Man had no intention of intervening. His lower body transformed into an ionized state, and he took off into the air.

Behind him, Doctor Mecha-Octopus was also lifted by a current of electricity, following Electro-Man's lead.

This was a unique application of Electro-Man's abilities—he could manipulate certain metallic objects to a degree using electrical currents.

Though his control was nowhere near as powerful or direct as Magneto's, it still granted him additional offensive capabilities.

With Doctor Mecha-Octopus in tow, Electro-Man bypassed Pteranorman's training ground and flew ahead.

"Max, the boss is waiting for you," came a voice from the approaching Brown-Paper Vulture.

Brown-Paper Vulture's mindset at this moment wasn't much different from Pteranorman's.

As an ambitious villain, after witnessing the wonders of the multiverse, how could he possibly be content with ruling over his own tiny universe?

That's why he was now fully committed to serving Peter and the Interdimensional Task Force—or at least, that's how it appeared on the surface. What he truly thought deep down was a mystery to all.

Electro-Man gave a slight nod, which was his way of acknowledging the greeting.

Although he didn't particularly approve of Brown-Paper Vulture's destructive tendencies, he didn't dislike him either. After all, they had fought side by side for nearly half a year.

Brown-Paper Vulture didn't mind. He was only here to deliver a message and guide the way.

Turning around, he flew toward the floating platform in the distance.

Electro-Man immediately followed.

On the floating platform, half of the space was occupied by large computer desks, resembling a surveillance room. Several virtual screens projected images on all sides, displaying various scenes.

Peter stood side by side with Gwen.

On the surface, Peter didn't look much different from how he did six months ago. But if one focused carefully, they would sense an elusive, almost ethereal quality about him.

This was due to the magical energy that constantly surrounded him.

At that moment, however, he was slightly frowning as he stared at one of the screens.

The screen displayed a projection of a man clad in a Spider suit.

"Hello, Captain Peter of the Interdimensional Task Force. I believe we should get to know each other."

"You're... Spider-Man 2099?"

"You've heard of my story?"
