Lucas however stared at Aurora as if she had grown two heads,
"Aurora...are you okay?"
"Huh? What? I am serious. I can get twice the amount of money, I spend on you." Aurora said.
"What?" Lucas rubbed his ears as if he was trying to check if they were working. "I can't hear a single word!"
Aurora's expression changed.
She again repeated her sentence.
Aurora's pulse quickened as she watched Lucas's confused expression.
He rubbed his ears again, shaking his head in mild disbelief.
"You're messing with me, right?" he asked, his brow furrowing. "I swear, your lips are moving, but I can't hear a thing."
Aurora swallowed hard.
This was beyond strange. It was as if some invisible force wasn't just preventing her from speaking about the system—it was actively censoring her words from being heard.
A sense of unease curled in her gut. She tried once more, enunciating each syllable deliberately.
"If I buy you something, I get double the amount back."
