Chapter 68 - pack of flyhum part 2 ( chapter 68)

First, I targeted the one who was farther away from me , I had already formed the Square now all I had to do was move. When I did, the closer Flyhum looked stunned, as if I had vanished right before its eyes. But it didn't take long for it to realize I was behind it. And it wasn't because I was just a few meters away, or because it could sense me.

It was the scent ,The scent of its kind's blood, still fresh on me from the one I had just beheaded.

Facing a Flyhum head-on could easily mean fatal injuries. I couldn't afford for my body to dull, Not now not with another one still alive With that thought, I appeared on its back riding it like a horse. Before I could plunge my blade into its flesh, the beast thrashed violently, throwing me off. I spun through the air and barely landed on my feet few meters away. I was still sliding.

"Be careful," Jaipa said.

I didn't have the time or luxury to respond to his concern, ignoring him, thrusting my blade into the ground to stop myself from sliding further when I finally stood still, both Flyhums were towering before me, their bodies tense, like they had sensed my killing intent. They didn't wait. Without giving me even a second to breathe, they charged at me, perfectly in sync.

My senses weren't the greatest in the world, but from my perspective, they were exceptional I was not being chocky of myself , because i could see countless possible paths my opponents might take, even before they moved. The closer they came, the more my perspective narrowed, refining those possibilities until only a few remained. That was one of the greatest assets in my arsenal.

But there was one flaw I couldn't properly react to them. Even if I knew where the attack was coming from, it meant nothing if my body couldn't keep up.

Those were just two very different things

My body was burning hot , my breaths were becoming heavy because of my square technique. It was consuming my stamina more than I had thought I was almost out of my breath after using this square technique of mine. Fitting that thing in my mind, I formed it again. Then I took out my wooden blade. Also holding the iron blade in my hand rested two blades , I felt a relief. From what? I don't know , but I did.

Those two Flyhums rushed towards me with a continuous scream

Ccrrrrrr...

Again, I targeted the further away one, appearing in front of that monster's mouth. I saw its beak, big and strong, with saliva dripping from it. It could tear me apart if it caught me. I had just appeared in front of that monster mouth even the Flyhum wasn't able to react to that sudden appearance of mine. Then, when i was about to lift my blades, its claws suddenly came flying towards me before it hit me I reacted in time and wrapping my body with Tai energy but even that couldn't defend against its sharp claws

Even before i could properly wrapp my tai energy around my body completely it's claws were tearing the corner of my stomach, sending me towards the other Flyhum. And that Flyhum was ready to tear me up with its claws. Before I got in contact with its claws, I formed the square and appeared on its back. In that moment, I didn't think of any other things I just drove my both blades straight into its eyes

Even with heavy breaths, I couldn't stop now I didn't have the luxury to rest. I formed the Square again, blinking a few steps away from the one that had injured me earlier, leaving the blind one for later. It was still screaming loudly, annoying me, but I had already crippled it it was half-dead. Killing it off would be easy. But easy could still be dangerous. That one in perfect condition? That was the real threat.

I pushed my legs against the ground and sprinted toward the Flyhum. As I got close, I dropped into a slide, barely slipping past its massive beak. My blade shot upward thrust deep into its stomach. The momentum of the thrust stopped my slide, pinning me underneath it. I tried to get to my feet, but before I could, the Flyhum screeched in agony and swung its claws at my throat

I slipped between its legs, emerging on the other side, and immediately drove my wooden blade into its stomach again. The blade got stuck it wouldn't go further.

I wanted to cut it open, its stomach entirely

Why?

If someone had asked me that, I might've said because they were annoying. Because they threatened my life with their screams

I pressed my legs against the ground and channeled my tai energy into the wooden blade ,Then I gritted my teeth, pressing harder, pushing more of my Tai energy into the blade until I felt it burning in my hands.

Suddenly, the Flyhum's abdomen split open from one side. Suddenly Jaipa's voice came, "At your back!" Until I turned back to see, I had my back torn. That wound on my stomach was healing slowly and now I had another wound on my back. It made me fly toward a rock, crashing into it. A blend of red came from my mouth. It seemed the impact was much more than it looked. My eyes got blurry for a second. Then I muttered, "This again…"

The Flyhum I just split open was on the ground. The only one left was the blind one. The blind one came running toward where I was, trying to recover somewhat. But the blind one was accurately moving toward me.

Ha… now I that about it was following the scent of blood. When I got on my feet, I formed the square and waited, letting it come close to me. Until then, I took deep breaths. When the time came to move, I was standing near the fallen one with the split abdomen. It was barely breathing, but I could extract the Mir stone without much effort.

Then,I pushed my hand,in it's split abdomen searching for the Mir stone. The standby Flyhum now started to run toward me again. I hurried to search for it. My hand touched something inside and I knew what it was. I pulled it out without a second of loss and started running in the opposite direction of the Flyhum, which was following me.

After running for a while, the Flyhum was catching up with me. As time passed, I was drained from all of this and now my legs didn't have the strength to take a step. Now I could just fly but even that could attract other monsters, and I couldn't afford to cuddle with more monsters than this. The Mir stone was in my hand. I opened my fist to look what could it help me with?

Again, it was yellow. It could help me with agility. But what I was hoping for now was a recovery Mir stone.

A recovery Mir stone could help me with increasing my stamina and my natural healing speed.

Then, without thinking much, I put the Mir stone in my mouth. While breathing heavily, within a few seconds it started to show its effects. My body felt lighter than before.

"Running can't solve it," I muttered and stopped, looking back. The Flyhum was much closer to me. I looked at the Flyhum's head it was dripping with its green blood

Then I took my stand, holding my blade in two hands. It was the last effort I was putting with my life. I could see countless possible movements it was going to make. As it came close, it narrowed down to a few. I concentrated the energy on my blade. The more energy I pushed into the blade, the air started to vibrate violently

And the Flyhum seemed to notice that I was preparing for a big attack. It moved fast, with desperation. When it came close, with its big claws they were about to reach me but.....I had seen this movement before it even came. Before me, I took a deep breath. Without even much effort, I moved to the left, dodging its claws. I was faster than before much faster. I could see the Flyhum move in slow motion. Then, the next moment, I was at its back, further away from it.

And then the Flyhum fell on the ground, screaming violently. All of its legs were cut from its body, and its beak was also severed. I fell on the ground, recovering my breath as much as possible, and turned to look at the Flyhum, who was crawling without its legs. Its scream made me want to kill it fast

With my heavy breaths I got close to it and touched it. After looking at its memories all of it were it was wandering around here and there, eating small monsters and running from big ones. I pushed those memories aside and focused on the information of its body. Then within a second, I got the location of the Mir stone Without hesitation, I made a hole in its stomach carefully, not touching the Mir stone. After removing the blade, I pushed my hand in its body, grabbed the Mir stone, and pulled it outside with the mir stone Green liquid spilled on my face again

"Haa…"

"This dirty blood…" I said coldly looking into its dead eyes

Jaipa, the spectral one, was still looking at me.

"Your body doesn't seem in good condition."

"Aww, are you worried about your master?" I teased him

"Don't put on that act," Jaipa said

"Ha.....can't I even, act now on my own will?"

"That act of yours gives me creeps down my spine!"

"Don't say that!... I will get hurt."

I looked at my fist, where the Mir stone was resting, dripping with blood. I cleaned it with my torn cloth. Then I saw the color of the stone It was red....
