Chapter 67 - pack of flyhum chapter 67

I barely had time to register the danger before the pack of Flyhum descended closer. All of them were tall at least three meters with its massive wings outstretched, the monster screeched a sound between a bird's cry and a wolf's howl, there taloned hands reached for me as its four legs propelled it forward with frightening speed.

I was definitely stronger than before I might even be able to handle one Flyhum without putting much efforts, but handling a pack? I wasn't that confident i could handle them . It was too early for me to act recklessly with those thoughts Without looking back, I started to run in the opposite direction of flyhums

Just after a few steps, when i was about to spread my wings, before I could do that two Flyhums appeared in front of me with there screech , turning my gaze to my back only one a Flyhum was coming towards me ,Instantly, I knew I had no choice but to fight and i must chose a safer route first, so for me the only safer route was to go for the single Flyhum at my back

I circled around a nearby tree, then ran toward the lone Flyhum. The remaining Flyhums started to chase me without even giving me time to deal with this one.

I drew my iron blade, letting the wooden blade rest. That Flyhum was faster than me. Before I could approach, it was already close to me its claws slashed, tearing through my clothes and flesh. A scream almost escaped my lips, but before it could get louder, I held it in making a loud noise could lead to unwanted attention, so I suppressed it. The pain was somewhat bearable.

With that attack, I was sent flying. Twisting my body mid-air, I stopped myself by plunging my sword into the ground.

A bit slower, and I would have been impaled by one of the Flyhum's claws.

"Hey, you crazy brat! Just run!" Jaipa screamed.

By the time I got to my feet, one of the Flyhums was already behind me, ready to attack for me there was no time to look at my wound my healing ability would eventually take care of it.

Silently cursing, I ran up a narrow path between two trees, aiming to pierce the weak point on the Flyhum's back from above. I formed the square that flyhum was already within my ten-meter radius so i didn't had to wait for it to come into my square what I had done was just to reach it so I reached it, Instant appearing above it without a second loss I tried to thrust my blade into the Flyhum's body but at the last moment, the Flyhum suddenly moved, slightly turning its body to the left. My blade missed its mark and instead slid helplessly across its claw, only managing to sever one of its fingers.

'Crap!'

Instead of killing the beast with one decisive blow, I ended up dealing almost no damage. What's worse, I had landed right beside the next Flyhum.

In the next moment, the Flyhum shook its head in irritation.

"Not good," I muttered and looked at Jaipa.

He was just a spectator in my journey he couldn't help or fight. The only thing he could do was watch and give some advice.

I stood my ground, looking around. Two monsters were in front of me, and one was behind me.

I took my stance. What should I do? Try something new? It wasn't the right time for that, but if I didn't try now, I might not get the chance to later with that

The Tai energy flowed from my body to my hands, then spread to my arms, shoulders, and finally covered my entire body. I instantly felt stronger, faster, more resilient.

But was it enough? No. To survive, I needed more than just what I always had I needed some luck one Flyhum flew at me from the right, the other from the left. There was no time to retreat or dodge sideways so instead, I did something that made Jaipa scream in protest.

I jumped left, closing the distance between myself and the charging monster.

The claws clashed together with a loud crack behind my back whatever it was, I only thought of this as a logical step. After all, the attack range of my blade was much shorter than that of the Flyhums' clawed hands. I could only fight back by getting close.

And now that I think about it, I always wanted a blade because I wanted to face my enemy head-on to look them in the eyes in face of death

Before the Flyhum could react, I wrapped Tai energy around my hands, raised my blade above its head, and swung downward with all my strength my entire body moved in sync to deliver a powerful blow.

My blade trembled as if I was swinging it through the air, then it struck the Flyhum's hand severed entirely, missing its head by just a few centimeters.

Green blood sprayed everywhere

I had less than a second to feel relief.

The Flyhum staggered back, screaming in pain. I had kept quiet so far to avoid attracting unwanted attention, and now this little f***er was screeching loudly.

The Flyhum stumbled over a rock buried in the ground.

I saw an opportunity.

Without a second thought, I formed the square again, this time landing exactly on its chest. I placed my hand on its chest I was greedy , greedy for freedom , and my freedom was only when i could gasp it even in this situation I was searching for mir stone

Jaipa screamed, "It's not the time for that!"

But I just couldn't let a single Mir stone pass by.

I was risking my life just for one Mir stone, if people were to see me doing it they could call me an idiot , a fool , or a maniac but what matters to me was my freedom that could only be gasped by attending a great strength

The moment I sensed the Mir stone's link location, I thrust my blade into its body

but I missed it , greeting my teeth i was about to close my eyes to take a look again

"Two at your back, twenty meters away!" Jaipa screamed

The Flyhum tried to push me off while continuing to scream.

I tried to locate the Mir stone's link again, but before I could

"Fifteen meters away!" Jaipa screamed again

i gripped my blade tightly, infusing it with Tai energy in one swift motion, I swung my blade severing its head from its body

The green fluid splattered on my face turning it into somewhat green, then

without taking a breath, I formed the square again, turning back to face them they were much closer now one was just five meters away, the other eight.

I needed to deal with them one by one even one was already deadly for me…
