"Good morning, Miss Wi—"
Sean barely got the words out before Winter stormed past him like a thunderstorm, not sparing him a single glance.
"What happened to her—" He turned toward the room, only to freeze at the sight before him.
Kalix was smiling to himself.
Sean's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. His vision had to be betraying him again.
Ever since Winter had stepped into his boss's life, Kalix had been acting like a lovestruck puppy around her. And now—this? A smile? It wasn't the first time, but it still left Sean utterly appalled.
The rare expression slowly faded as Kalix caught Sean staring at him like he had just seen a ghost.
"Yes, Sean?" Kalix's deep, authoritative voice snapped him out of his daze.
"B-Boss," Sean stammered, quickly trying to regain his composure.
"Miss Gina and her manager will be arriving shortly to sign the contract," he reported, his ears turning red at the sound of his own voice.
