Two children stood over a woman who was laying unconscious on the bed.Behind them, a boy about their age stood leaning up against the door frame.
Michael and Anna were worried sick over their mother Lana, but their were a dozen other thoughts on their mind, specifically where their father was.
A boy with crimson red hair and eyes then walked into the room with Jennifer standing beside
him.
"You two can't stay here forever. Stress makes you die, young you know."said Jennifer.The children stayed silent as Jennifer let out a sigh.
"I know you don't quite trust us yet but your mother has been fully healed she's just tired and normal humans should not have that much contact with voudaju so for her to get better you'll have to leave the room."said Ryan.
"Okay, we understand. Let's go, anna."said Michael as he and his sister left the room.As soon as the two kids left, Jennifer turned to Ryan and the crimson haired boy.
I want you to rally the others and try to make them feel somewhat comfortable crimiya you are more social than ryan, so I'm putting you in charge."said Jennifer.
"Leave it to me if I could bring irine out of her shell. I can do it to anyone."said crimiya."Hey Jenny, do you know where Malika is?"asked ryan.
"Oh, she went to the underworld she should be back in a few hours."replied Jennifer."How long are we gonna keep this up? I need to find my sister."said Ryan.
"Be patient. Things here are very complex. If everything isn't handled properly, a lot of people could die."Said Jennifer.
Ryan turned around and scoffedhe walked out of the room.A hard slap then hit the back of his head."Mr., what did I tell you about respect!"shouted Jennifer.
"Oh, I'm sorry, old lady."said Ryan as he ribbed the back of his head."Old, you know you've never seen a 28 year old who looked as young as me."said Jennifer
"You must be looking in cursed mirrors cause ain't no way an old lady like you even thinks they look young."said Ryan.
"And what would a fourteen year old like you who's only ever gazed at a woman through a magazine know."said Jennifer.
"I'm done with this argument."said Ryan. He walked out of the room."He really needs to find new insults. Not all women get mad over being called old."said Jennifer.
"Does the makeup work that well for you."said crimiya as he started to laugh."And does having a baby face at thirteen help you get a girlfriend."said Jennifer as she pinched his cheek.
Crimiya's face turned red as fire engulfed his mother, but he was instantly doused with water that came from Jennifer's palm.
"You even gave temper tantrums like a little baby."said Jennifer."Whatever."said crimiya as he begrudgingly walked out of the room.
As soon as he was gone, Jennifer pulled out a mirror."I knew those brats were lying. I don't look old in the slightest."said Jennifer, gushing over her own face.
Jennifer then vanished into mirror as it dropped to the ground.Outside in a random abandoned building, anna and Michael spared as they had a discussion.
"Are you sure we can trust these people?"asked Anna as she swung a whip towards her brothers torso.
"No, but what choice do we have? Any of them could kill us in a second, and they did a better job of protecting us than our dad, so for now their good enough."said Michael as he leaped over the whip.
"That's not a very good thing to say. You know dad loves us, and he's present most of the time."said anna.
"But I'm not wrong. Him being weak git us into this mess may God bless his soul, but I don't wanna be anything like him."Said Michael.
A whip then grabbed Michael's leg, dragging him down from the air as a kick was trusted towards his face.
"I won't have you talk down to our dad. You don't know what he went through."said anna as Michael cut the whip and grabbed her leg.
"But the truth is the truth he was weak, and because of that, we lost everything! Shouted Michael.
"But still, he did everything he could, and I won't have you disrespect hus memory."shouted anna as her voudaju spiked as she punched her brother in the face, sending him flying into a pile of boxes.
"Michael, I'm sorry."said anna as she rushed over to her brother.Micheal pushed her away as he got up on his own.
"You two have such a nice relationship."said a distant voice.The two turned seeing a girl with long dark purple hair and purple eyes.
She wore a white dress and had an instrested look on her face."Hey, are you that other girls sister."asked anna.
"No, not really it's complicated, but I'm on holi, and I know something about your dad."said holi."Wait, you do tell us now."said Michael.
"Wow, your attitude sure changed, but no, I won't tell you not unless you two prove your worth to me."said holi.
"Is this some kind of secret societal rebellion group?"asked Michael."No, just a girl making replacements for what she lost, I said, too much."said holi.
"Whatever, what is this test you want us to do and were not killing anybody."said anna."No, I wasn't gonna ask you to kill anyone who asks puppies to kill a wolf."said holi.
"Are you calling us weak."Said Michael."No calling you weak inferes that their's a falsehood in that you two are weak, no, I'm not calling you weak. I'm saying you're weak."Said holi.
"You don't have many friends, do you."said anna."I did, but their either dead or dead to me or on the brink of the first one."said holi
"Now as for the test, you two will be fighting me impress me, and I'll tell you about your dad. Don't worry, he's not dead, and if you express me, I'll teach you."said holi.
"What could you possibly teach us? You're like ten."said Michael.Holi then waved her hand as the entire building around them was cleaved in half.
"That good enough for you two, or do I have to burn this whole slum down wait don't answer? I wanna do it anyway."said holi as flames engulfed her hands.
"Wait, stop, we believe you we accept."said anna."i don't know. I still feel like the slums need to go."said holi.
"Stop, don't do it, we accepted your conditions."Said Michael."Good now to mention your end of the deal. If you don't impress me, I'll have you two, and your mom kicked out at once."
