Elias returned to the hall, and found Lyra still sitting at the same place where he had left her before. Even after a few hours had passed, she hadn't moved.
Her eyes looked tired, as she looked like she had run out of tears. The bottle of water was also lying next to her, untouched.
Elias walked over to her and crouched down beside her. "If you just stay here sulking, will it change anything?"
He opened the bottle of water, and brought her close to Lyra's lips. "Drink."
This time, he didn't simply ask her to drink, but used a command. Lyra opened her dry lips, allowing Elias to touch the bottle with her lips.
He tilted the bottle, letting the water spill in her mouth, making her drink. Lyra drank water until the entire bottle was completed, and Elias tossed the empty bottle away.
