Nicholas was furious when he ended the call. Just today, five investors called him, letting him know that they were backing out. They didn't want to be in business with him since they got a better offer from Amber. She tried to convince them that he would raise the deal, but they had already made up their minds.
He wondered why all this was happening. He threw the first thing his hand touched. Nicholas growled. He threw his phone across the wall in anger. "How could you!" he yelled.
He knew Amber was behind this. He knew this was her doing. She wouldn't stop until she fulfilled what she wanted to fulfill. He needed to stop her, he thought to himself. He needed to stop her right this minute.
He heard a knock on his door. Nicholas thought it was his secretary. "What do you want?" he yelled at the door.
The door burst open, and Xavier walked in. He looked at the mess in the room before saying, "What the heck happened here? Why are you throwing things?"
